Congratulations, Mr. President: A New Trump Milestone

First, that's a wild ass guess. No one knows what MIGHT HAVE BEEN and cannot state those assumptions as FACTS.

But, good try.

Secondly, exactly when are we supposed to STOP all the social distancing/lock down stuff? What's the exit plan?

People that don't intermingle with other people don't pass along a virus. FACT.

There is no MIGHT HAVE BEEN to discuss, cat lady.

Guessing in this pejorative sense suggests picking from a set of alternative hypotheses at random.

Put it this way: you're living on the Atlantic seaboard. There's a hurricane approaching. Do you suppose the hurricane could make landfall anywhere along the coast (or not), or do you put credence in the probability density issued by meteorologists. Does it matter? After all, they're both "guesses."

That's a ridiculous comparison to the assumed lower number of CV deaths.

You fail to make the case on whether those who may not have died might or might not have been particularly susceptible to the virus and/or would not have been exposed at a later time anyway. You don't because you cannot and therefore dismiss that potentiality and instead "guess" that they would have survived, even though you DO NOT KNOW that.

In essence, your argument is that IF the the weatherman had warned you a week ago that the hurricane was going to hit NYC, fewer people would have died.

And that's stupid.

You don't know? OK, I'm not surprised.

Things return to normal once there are vaccines and effective treatments.

There, you learned something from me.

If you took a bowl of 100 M&Ms, where 20 of them somewhere in the mix would make you horribly ill and there is no treatment or cure, and 3 or 4 of them would outright kill you, derpy says it is fine to reach in and eat some because, hey man, you just don’t know.

If some folks eat half the bowl, and one gets sick and dies, he’ll point out how it was in no way the M&Ms fault, as that person could have just died from something else. Keep eating everybody.

Pretty stupid of him, yes?

If you told him he should wear a mask, and by doing so you could remove a sizeable portion of the 20 bad M&Ms and all but 1 of the deadly ones, he will tell you “B-b-but my freedoms and my liberties,” because over 200 years ago, before modern medicine and science understanding how viruses spread, before most people even travelled more than 10-15 miles from home their entire lives (airplanes ?!? Fuggetaboutit!), “The country’s forefathers signed a permission slip that says I don’t have to, so na-na-nah”.

Super duper stupid of him, yes?

Prove that number that was floated, scientific proof. It can't be done. It's a floating meaningless number derived from guesses.

It's really an old advertising trick used to fool the rubes. "Our tires are 30% better this year." Great, better than what?

We're going to see how many rubes buy into this bull shit number.

The yapping continues but no one wants to tackle the salient challenge.

Self-proclaimed shit for brains and full-time blowhard, Franziasaurus (along with his partner in misinformation, AJ) will tell you if it was derpy’s M&Ms, it was obviously the brown M&Ms (cockroaches, sparky!) that made you sick, and demand you prove otherwise.

Otherwise you’re just guessing.

He has the same Trump University degree in infectious diseases and viral infections as the rest of his RWCJ buddies.

Fuck the experts, Dr. Deplorable is in the house.

Correct. The real number could be significantly lower.

But it is far lower than the original millions projected.

100,000 in 4 months (probably close to double that...but what you don't test, you can't count)

So in a year...that is 300,000 as we go today. (Probably 600,000 in real numbers). A year and a half to the possibility of a vaccine...which probably won't happen, but let's say fior argument's sake it does. So that means 450,000 (or 900,000 real). Given how poorly the decisions making has been...I wouldn't be holding my breath. History will show well over a million deaths by the time this is over. Totally preventable. But Republicans don't care about life.

And if a frog had wings!

When did Y'all stop blaming God for all this?

And they get closer to normal if you take the time to imbed precautions in work places before employees are brought back in. That requires having a plan and executing it, and the Trump "administration" has done squat about doing either. In fact. Donald Trump is stonewalling any attempt to preserve the life of actual people. He shows that he doesn't give a shit about actual people--and the board Trumpettes trot along right behind him. Just a bunch of subhumans we have here.

Looking to the leader of the country for leadership?

That's not what trump was elected to do. He was elected to lock her up and take obama down.

He has more important things to worry about than some people with the sniffles.

And the impeached failure has failed there too

I wonder...what Memorial Day is about? Who should we be honoring? And yet, what did the moron tweet about today?

Great analogy.

That's Comshaw level stupid. Still tossing out one in five will be "horribly ill" and THREE OR FOUR OUT OF A HUNDRED WILL DIE!!

The CDC says mortality rate for symptomatic cases are at .4%. For those like you and Comshaw that suffer from terminal innumeracy that means four out of every thousand people who get noticeably ill from the virus will die.

The same CDC says that 35% of those who become infected will exhibit no symptoms. That's one in three for those who do not understand basic statistics but claim to know and claim to be spreading what "experts" have to say.

When you include the foregoing asymptomatic infections, the mortality rate, according to the CDC is .26%. That is just over one quarter of one percent or about five people out of every two thousand. Technically, 26 per 10,000 infections*.

I'll take the guesses of us skeptics who have a basic grasp of statistical analysis and a nose for bullshit on day one before any data was in over the collective "knowledge" of you hysterics today with reams of data to look at. I'll even spot you all of the padded statistics.

The skeptics take on this continues to be validated, and you nutcases keep openly displaying your ignorance of the basics while announcing you are are the smart, informed, compassionate team.

Completely seperate discussion, but the rabid over-reaction is life threatening and not a one of you assholes will even acknowledge that as a possibility or given even lip-service to those concerns.

We will be right about that, as well, but unlike you we won't be crowing about that mounting death toll.

You are not informed, you are incapable of absorbing pretty simple, but important, information about either the medical side of this or the statistics that should drive decision making. Casting stones at others while announcing your virtue does not make you a good person. You're a smug ill-informed, virtue signaling asshole. But that, you knew, yes?

*I should not need to explain this, but because you idiots seem to barely be able to work a calculator to extrapolate a number ...so before you extrapolate using 26 death out of every 10,000 Americans, let me be quick to explain that for reasons known and unknown not everyone who is exposed to the virus will actually become infected. Some people for reasons known and unknown are naturally immune, or simply poor hosts. Secondly not everyone will be exposed to the virus. Exposure rates will entually reach 60- 80% of people no matter what we do. Yes this includes so-called social distancing which is not really anything but a wish and a prayer at delaying, not lowering overall infection rates and attempts at isolation. Those exposures will occur overtime exactly the same contact-tracing tree eay that other diseases that spread within households and close business associates do. It's exactly like spreading one of your idiotic internet memes, just slower. You know someone who posted the meme, who knows someone who posted the meme, who knows someone who posted the meme. That's how it works.

Sorry, Ishypoo. Presidents own the crises they president through.

You guys made those rules. Obama owned his and Cheeto will own this one.

His little supporters are always screaming, "well, pull yourself up by the bootstraps and take responsibility".

The funny part, they totally support an idiot who does everything but take responsibility for his actions. But he's the right hue and a Repug male, so that's ok. They are such old phonies. They've really shown their asses.
