Of course once we've let the boys in, they'll have to stay for the remainder of the isolation period...![]()
Wait, I forgot to specify the girls...

Whatever would we do to occupy the time (other than limericks)....I can cook!
Maybe, if you ask very nicely, Numi will indulge you.![]()

<ears prick up - tail wags excitedly>
You say that like they are bad things! OK, I wouldn't fancy Morris dancing (my knees are bolloxed) but the tunes are good....Avocado on toast does need chopped chilli on top
This is all sounding lovely, boys, girls, people to cook delicious stuff, I love smashed avocado on rye toast.
A jar of chopped jalapenos in the fridge just in case (handy for ragu too)

Ah... but Lee & Perrins Worcester Sauce or Henderson's. I was brought up with Worcester Sauce but was in Sheffield, asked for some Worcester and received what can only be called an 'old-fashioned look' and told 'nah, lad, ya want Henderson's'
has to be Lee & Perrins Worcester Sauce, can't have a Bloody Mary without it or cheese on toast![]()
May I have a bloody cheese on toast, Mary? Its Worcestershire Sauce btw!

Hello CB, we haven't met, how are you doing? *waves*
Chilli flakes are brilliant. One of my fave Italian dishes is spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino, which is a delicious mouthful to say and to eat. It's garlic, olive oil and chilli flakes, you can buy little packets of a 'mix' to which you just add the spaghetti and the olive oil. Good store cupboard recipe.

Spagghy is a brilliant name![]()
Perhaps you could use some of your time in isolation to curate a collection of store cupboard recipes for all those of us who will no doubt be confined to home at some point in the future?

Jack Monroe was on the radio this morning talking about her book of tinned stuff recipes, did you hear that? What do mean you don't listen to Woman's Hour?
She did enthuse hugely about tinned peaches, which I abhor. Ugh.
If you search for 'peperoncino spice mix' quite a few come up which can be ordered online.
There's also this recipe, which looks worth a go:
7 grams dried parsley flakes
30 grams dried roasted garlic flakes
30 grams dried chilli flakes
2 tsp sea salt
You just mix all that up together and store it in an airtight jar. About a teaspoon will do the trick on your spaghetti, plus a good slug of olive oil, of course. Parmesan optional.
Now I'm hungry!
- who gets the tiny bit of cherry?
Hush....there'll be panic buying of those ingredients
I love it when talk turns to food although I consider avacados to be exceptionally overrated. ( with or without the chilli flakes). I’m working from home today so the challenge will be to stay away from the kitchen anyway.
