Why do they go for walks?
People should be free to do things they enjoy that harm no one.

I have no clue. When I first moved out on my own, I had no TV. I was happy. But visitors complained of the lack of TV. So I bought a little black and white. This was in the days where those were about $100 and a color of the same size was $300.
Visitors complained that the TV wasn't color. Got a small color one as a gift. Visitors complained that it wasn't big enough. Got a bigger one as a gift.
I used to watch MTV when it came on, and the occasional cooking show. No cable.
Eventually got married. Husband wanted cable. Daughter wanted cable.
Daughter grew up. Husband divorced me. Daughter and I realizes that when the TV was on, it was just background noise.
TV broke. Bought a little new one for $99. Aside from setting it up to make sure it works, I've never put it on, aside from watching a news segment that my friend was on. But she put it on Youtube. I could have watched it there.
Daughter moved out. I got rid of the cable. I don't miss TV at all.

My bigscreen tv broke about a decade ago.
I never replaced it.
I dont see how I would have time to watch anything these days. (Plus not much is interesting)
I watch youtube videos sometimes, but nothing very long. Also maybe 1 movie at the cinema every couple years.

I grew up in a house without TV but somehow (the husband) I started watching and I am blown away with how much time I can waste getting caught up in the stupidity that is TV. I really enjoy it although it is such a time sink.
