You left out the parts about how them black people in Africa had slaves at the time them white folks showed up. And how them brown people in Egypt had slaves too. And how them white people in Rome had WHITE slaves. And how them whiteys in England had them some white slaves who volunteered to be slaves.

Slavery has been universal throughout the history of all of mankind's various ethnicities. Pointing fingers at one particular group in order to score cheap political talking points is stupid and dishonest

That was my point. An awful lot of white men have done the right thing when the right thing could and sometimes did get you killed. Virtue signaling by modern, white Democrats on this subject does not merit an honorable mention.

On a serious note you are correct of course, not only because it is morally wrong to generalize but because generalization are never (heh) useful.

Lots of things that are indisputably, statistically true about a particular group of human beings that you've grouped and gathered statistics on. Those statistics tell you nothing whatsoever on a granular level about an individual, since individuals are, well, individuated individual people.

The other problem with segmenting the society into Us and Them without allowing for the possibility of overlap means that things we could reasonably agree on and address are not addressed, lest "we" give "them" an undeserved win.

Purity tests have the effect of alienating those who may he allied with you on a particular issue, driving them from the pool of fairly independent, persuadable centrists into this camp or that, or having them withdraw from the process entirely.

Pick an issue. Any issue. The country is split pretty evenly on most. Who can afford to reject fellow-travelors on an issue important to you because you strongly object their stance on other issues?

The entire premise of this thread is decisive, deliberately offensive, and counterproductive.

It is also exactly the theme that cost HRC the election. The idea from a political science perspective was to tar Trump as racist in hopes of bringing out Obama only voters who weren't ever going to vote for Hillary of "super predators" fame. Biden has the same problem.

I get that all is fair in love and war and the stakes in politics makes the end of victory justify the means of some mudslinging, but the risk to the country in general and race relations specifically are not justified by the likely return on fomenting racial discord. This play has already been run and it ended up in a loss of yards. Why run the same play from the same tired plsybook that just cost you an election?

What you’re talking about is a minuscule fraction of the US “white male” population who carry out mass shootings whilst at the same time claiming “hatred of other demographics” to be the motivating factor in all of them; which simply isn’t true.

Furthermore, as a demographic “white men” are underrepresented in mass shooting statistics and black and Asian men overly represented; so why aren’t you asking, “what are black and Asian men so afraid of?”
