Signatures on or off and why

Since I first came to LIT a few years ago, I have always had signatures on and try to put something into mine. Now that profiles have been down for so long, you either have to create your profile in the story section of LIT or put it in your signature.

So to expand a bit:
1. Do you have something in your signature? Why or why not?
2. Do you have signatures turned on? Again, why or why not?
3.If you have them on (otherwise this question is moot) do you have a favorite?
4. Just say whatever you want to say about signatures or highjack the tread and have fun.

I hate the super long signatures with gifs of blondes biting lips and all that, but not enough to turn them off.
I just ignore those peeps.

I have a sig, but only because the profile info was hopelessly out of date. I have them turned off. I'm usually on lit on my phone, and those big ones just take up too much room. If someone interests me, I'll click on their profile.

I don't mind signatures, really. Sometimes they're a little too big, but to each their own.

I have nothing in mine, but that's because I don't have anything that interesting to put there semi-permanently.

I've had the same quote in mind for quite a while. But I have mine turned off because I don't like to read 20 Pages of messages, or have gifs flashing at me, after each post. Like BB said. Most of the time I'm on my phone

Still Stiff has a long one too (TWSS), but Ralf’s is better.

I keep my sigs on, it’s a way to keep track of who belongs to who. My top one I have had since Day 1, the second encapsulates me. The third...welll...

I have sigs on. In mine, I chose a few quotes/sayings that have importance to me. I link my stories, and hint to others how I like to be treated when posting by stating MY posting rules.

Between my sig and my profile description, people should have enough info about me to know what I am like.

Signatures? I've done so in the past but am not doing so now. I dislike long winded signatures.

Using them as a means to provide a brief personal bio is clever. Dick pics or pics in violation of Lit pic posting guidelines are just as annoying in the signature as they are in an AV. .

One year I started putting hints to my upcoming birthday in my sig...changing it off and on as the day came closer..so long story short either no one I was posting around had their sigs on or...

It's often hard to figure out a users gender. Even though I say that I'm female, a lot of people look at the flower penis and think I'm male.

FWIW: I figured that only a woman would be patient enough to create that. Us guys draw our members a lot, but not as creatively (See PMann). Throbbs being the exception...

I don't like signatures. I don't have one and I have them turned off so I can't see them. I wish there was a 140 character limit for them and no option for graphics or gifs to be added. Then I might read them.

No you don't. That's not what sigs are for at all and they should be restricted to just a few lines. Something witty and interesting, no boasting or ranting. And NO offsite links.

I have a signature and I have them on. Just habit. I don't have any favorites, but I have a few I'd prefer not to see constantly, mainly due to how large they are.
