My most annoying thing is lurkers when I’m feeling insecure. Also, and I’ve shared this one before, people that happily comment publicly on other ampic threads and only comment on mine via PM - makes me feel like something to be ashamed of. It’s quite irritating and a bit frustrating when you’ve been talking to someone via PM, and the conversation suddenly stops, but you see they’re still active, doing other stuff on the site. This isn’t a dig at people that have to cut away suddenly, or even if they fall asleep (time zone differences are a nightmare!).

At least say something like ‘thanks, I’m done’ or whatever. Even something like ‘I’m bored now’ would suffice, then you can delete the message string and move the fuck on.

Or, when someone PMs you several times but then ignores you for no good reason (see above, sort of).

And slightly over-aggressive behaviour, leading to one having to mash the ‘ignore’ button, as they want something that’s outside your comfort zone.

I don't get this "need to prove how interesting you are" signature premise some here complain about. Your own signature says a lot and anything otherwise is to be discovered via PM.

And yes the complaining about lack of instant gratification or all a persons informational background is irksome.
