I'm lucky to come from a massive family and Thanksgiving, when I was younger was always a massive event. I remember tables of different types of food. I'm talking about three types of turkey, smoked duck (an uncle's specialty), ham and a table full of pies. Those were some of the happiest moments growing up because it was all about family.

I don't get any of that any more, since moving away more than 15 years ago, but if I had my choice, I'd like it to be like that again.

Blue - Yeah, I know it's boring and simple but, I can be the same way and it makes me happy. :)

Wow, you did both questions, very good! My favorite color used to be purple, but I'm more partial to blue now...dont ask...lol

Love the simple family Thanksgiving dinner, but also love it when you bring out the best of everything. We used to bring in our neighbors who didn't have family, that was always nice. This year I'm sad to say, I'll be alone. My husband works.
 
Yeah, I saw that you were thinking about visiting him. When I'm stuck at work for the holidays and the wife can visit for a little while, it means a lot. Hopefully you get a chance to make it out.

I haven't had a chance to make a lot of friends out here yet so this year we are doing it small. Even when you do a small, intimate day do you guys get dressed up? I hate dressing up if I'm not leaving the house and no one is coming over. It just seems silly.

Just the table gets the dressing, we can go casual...then afterwards we always put up the tree, maybe some lights.....so exciting!

I cant talk thanks giving as we dont celebrate it.

Now favourite colours (note the correct spelling of colour :p ) this is an interesting topic for me.
When I did recruitment years ago for a company, we used to have a test. People were asked to write a sentence about themselves we provided paper and a pack of coloured pencils.

This is what each colour represents.

Black. People who choose black as their favorite colour are often artistic and sensitive. While these people aren't introverts, they are careful with the details of their lives and do not share easily with others.

White. People who like white are often organized and logical and don't have a great deal of clutter in their lives.

Red. Those who love red live life to the fullest and are tenacious and determined in their endeavors.

Blue. If blue is your favorite colour you love harmony, are reliable, sensitive and always make an effort to think of others. You like to keep things clean and tidy and feel that stability is the most important aspect in life.

Green. Those who love the colour green are often affectionate, loyal and frank. Green lovers are also aware of what others think of them and consider their reputation very important.

Yellow. You enjoy learning and sharing your knowledge with others. Finding happiness comes easy to you and others would compare you to sunshine.

Purple. You are artistic and unique. You have a great respect for people but at times can be arrogant.

Brown. You are a good friend and try your hardest to be reliable and dependable. Flashy objects are not something you desire; you just want a stable life.
 
I saw this segment the other day on TV where a company was selling pants that expand at the waist. It was for thanksgiving dinners and to accommodate over eating. All I could think was that they re-invented sweat pants.

That is so interesting! I used to like purple, but now like blue...that fits my personality better. Pretty neat....I think i better start bringing more colors into my life ;)
