Although, he doesn't come off nearly as clueless in the book. Just naive and a little helpless since he had dad making amends for.....well.......

No. I didn't care for the book and liked the movie even less. It's all rather bleak and pointless. If you are feeling close to suicide and need something to push you over the edge, this is your movie. Otherwise, skip it.

I've seen like two episodes of walking dead, so that means nothing to me. Still, kid has his good moments, but the scene where he just starts running after the other kid bugged the shit out of me. Of course I should probably finish the fucker before passing judgment.
