Now, is that statement true?
How about this one?
All white cops are racists and gun down innocent Black people when given the chance.
When you here it said in such stark terms, both statements sound absurd, yes?
But if you read the online comments and watch personal videos, this is pretty much what is being said. People who know nothing about what happens inject there own prejudices and stereotypes into the narrative they have no business commenting on. Thus inflaming emotions and inciting violence. No one wants to wait until all the facts available come to light. And when they do, if it does not suit the outcome originally assumed, then the facts are tainted somehow.
Here is a fine example, did you know there were TWO investigations into the Michael Brown shooting? The Grand Jury, and the DOJ. A DOJ headed by a black man, who by the way was disappointed with the findings. DOJ Conclusion
But still, rioters destroyed businesses of innocent people who had nothing to do with the shooting because of all the inflammatory, baseless assumptions. Now there are times when cops are wrong, but the nonviolent protests (and lawsuits) should not start until the official inquiries are finished.
