Just something about a man in the outdoors, mmmpfff!!This is as close as I can get.
Cutting up a fallen maple in the woods last summer. I split it later wearing ripped jeans and flannel but neglected to get a photo![]()
Yes indeed!! Thank you!!I posted this yesterday in the Men In Kilts thread, but I'm not sure how many people venture over there. Kilts, bagpipes, and Balmorals are manly, right?
Here I am doing manly stuff, cutting straw with my English scythe I got from an old antique place for $5. I had to buy a new snathe (handle), which costs me about $100.
**** Pretty please don't cross post so I can take down the pic if I want to.*****

Nice plow. And that cross-pein has seen quite a bit of work. You blacksmith?
(Yes, I said, "Pein." Giggle all you want, but that is what it's called!)

The hottest thread on Lit...the hammer..those fingers..the woods
Oh yes a man in a skirt ...or I mean a kilt is definitely sexy!!! Well I think I mean you in a kilt is sexy, because the wrong man in a kilt is not sexy. Now like what you turned me into a rambling fool....haha![]()
Wow I'm loving how this has taken off!
Thanks to all pic posters, and thanks to all the admiration posters! Bit of global smile power being generated!
I'm gonna break my rule and mention in public something from a pm exchange:
The idea for the thread is Trekka's as much as it is mine. Thanks you lovely!
I have an old Ford two-furrow plow that I pull around on my property with my little Ford tractor. It's fun. Is that an old IH plow.

The only time these days that my hand is gloved and wrapped around something hard....is bike riding.

Nope. It's newer. '80s Ford. Has a Japanese diesel in it.
I think this thread is such a good idea, I have to do a naked log splitting series.
Which would be sexier? Splitting with a 30-ton hydraulic splitter or with a maul (kind of like an ax)?
Give me a maul....please..Nope. It's newer. '80s Ford. Has a Japanese diesel in it.

Yay hooray! Oooh those gloved hands with metal... Heating the place up, haha! I won't ever get tired of looking at this.
Absolutely manly!!! And thanks so much for putting it here. I seldom venture out of AmPics and wasn't even aware of a Men in Kilts thread...somewhere else.
