You have your staff use white-out to cover up, after the fact, words like top secret on documents in your possession that you have read.

Then you have your spokesperson go out to spread the word that to your knowledge, you never knowingly had top secret or other classified documents come into your possession (almost as if the White House knew it could not trust you). You can add, "I never saw top secret documents" to "I never had sex with that woman."

I'm curious, did you invent that bull shit yourself or did one of your usual sources come up with that theory?

Either way.
Someone has never handled classified documents.

guys trolling each other…
what's up with that?

Someone here is so rabidly partisan that it has become a "Mission from Gaia" to make sure every conservative sneeze is met with "I hope you die soon" rhetoric.

disappointing..…
I was hoping more in the line of 'foreplay'

Liberals (and by that I mean the Democrat's Progressive-Socialist wing nuts) have become so rote that Gallagher's Hammer is what passes for subtlety.

They are so sure that they have cornered the market in truth that they no longer need to have reasoned discussions with those evil [ fill in the blank ] deniers.

The Politics Forum was designed to give the nutjobs a place to put forth their adolescent views.

Just as the Playground was designed for the same thing, except with middle school "sex" as the pretext.

So fucking what?

Get over yourself; you're not the hall monitor...

This is a discussion not of politics, but how to lie so outrageously that people take it as truth because otherwise, nobody would dare say something so fucking stupid.

specifics, a-hle!
don't they teach you composition in school?

I prefer using a chisel tip black Sharpie to the white out. Do is slow so the ink can soak all the way through the paper.

because I'm not in the US,
I sometimes can't figure out which threads are related to recent news and which ones are intended for general debate or for fun.

Is your post related to some recent news?

Hilarious from you Cap'n Hypocrite. Rabidly partisan.

You know, you may not look like quite so much of a tool if you actually responded to what was posted rather than assume you know the content without bothering.

But why stop now eh? Always the victim.

But to get back to the point: Have you ever handled Top Secret information? Any classified information at all?

Based on your initial post, after my having handled such information for several years in the military, that answer is a resounding no.

Secrecy markings

Many years ago I was told the real meaning of British Defence Secrecy Classifications:

Restricted - we stole this manual from the manufacturers because we didn't want to pay them for it. If they complain, we'll prosecute them for being in possession of a Restricted document without authorisation. Risk to National Security if document stolen - Nil.

Confidential - Officers only but can be shown to trusted NCOs because the NCOs will know what to do. Usually only personal information that might be embarrassing to the individual mentioned or writing the document. Risk to National Security if document stolen - Very Minor. Also known as 'Confidential - Press' - the media can be told but shouldn't quote it word for word.

Secret - We know that the Russians know about this, but we're pretending they don't know. If necessary and useful, the media can be told an outline of this by a senior officer.

Top Secret - We're fairly sure that the Russians know about this, but we're telling the Americans that the Russians don't know. The media can only be told about this by a politician - 'an official source said that...' who will probably get it wrong.

Above Top Secret - We'd like to keep this to ourselves please?

good ones.
I liked the first one, in particular. Has some similarities with games people play at institutional levels. A friend of mine wanted to claim some insurance and it went a bit like that - she ended up getting only 1/2.

It's not news. Just more right-wing hit pieces from lying FOX news that is trying to damage the unofficial (but official) President-in-Waiting because they hate women more than they hate the current President because he's a mulatto...

:nods:

Meanwhile, over at the EPA, they're still whistling Dixie and pretending that they didn't do anything wrong, knowing full well if a private company poisoned a river, they would be forced to close up shop and executives would face criminal charges and possible jail time.

:)

...but it's not a Political thread.

I suggest more Style and Aplomb.

Jim Dandy to the rescue!

“Blaming the EPA for #AnimasRiver spill is like blaming a doctor for the disease,” Conservation Colorado said in a tweet. Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar tweeted, "Focus of #AnimasRiver contamination should be on mining companies and their mining practices, not EPA, yes?”

The Sierra Club Rocky Mountain chapter posted a link to an article titled “9 things you need to know about the Animas River spill.” The list includes “The EPA messed up, but they’re not the root cause” and “This isn’t the first time this has happened, nor is it the worst.”

The same way they try to diminish anything that Sir Edmund Hillary Clinton does.

The Oligarchy of Elites which call the shots in this country will circle around their woman, protect her from harm, and elevate her into the White House. Their apple cart cannot be upset by the little people they rule.
