Pretty much. Losing Jerry West was their biggest mistake. They seem lost. I don't mind it though. I will always be bitter towards the Laker, Derek Fisher and .04 seconds.

I have been shocked/upset a while they didn't hire DF as at least an assistant after the Phil era & his player years ended.

Say what you want about the lakers. They'll be looking okay next offseason. At least they aren't the Kings/blazers.

I forgot that they had a draft pick from last year, hurt. They need to build a nucleus of good players, then add some stars. To me, it appears they do the opposite. One star, here and there, aint going to cut it unless you're getting Lebron James...
What is NY doing....and how long is that going to take.

Its tough to build through the draft unless you get lucky....not sure. they need 2-3 players that are good to decent, then draft, it takes years...and lots of skill and risk to do that.

I know, these salaries are going to look like pennies come next season. I'm just not sure what kind of promises they can make to West moving forward, he'll be 36 by the time next season starts.

36 is young to the Spurs lol.
It gets even crazier in 2017. I read somewhere they could be offering players upwards of 40mil per year. Kevin Durant is about to get PAID!

Yeah, the Durant sweepstakes are going to be out of this world. Most people think he's either going to stay in Oklahoma or go to Washington. I'm sure there are going to be about 15 teams vying for his services - assuming his feet are healthy. That can be a tricky injury.

Living in OK it's all anyone is talking about. First it was if Durant and Westbrook could play together. Now it's hoping they will get the chance to. Those feet injuries have derailed many careers.

Yeah my wife told me. I am sure Lamar is laughing right about now. The Thunder will be tough once fully healthy. Kanter is a great pick up for them.

Lamar is probably too high to even notice.
I like Kanter, and their first-round draft pick, Payne should be good too. They should be right in the mix, but getting past Golden State and San Antonio will be tough.

They aren't deep enough. It will be a struggle. If Pop can continue to control everyone's minutes and we can stay healthy it should be us against the Cavs. I would love to beat Lebron for a third time.
The season can't get here soon enough.

I would expect Lamar would laugh, if I thought he had a sense of humor. The fact he had his own reality show with his ex makes me doubt that. (Probably left Lakers & figured dating part of that family would be only way to get on TV.)
