I might as well type in Mandarin or some old language, as your eyes clearly weren't working his first go-round in the Q, when he was proven to be far more of a loser than just the Finals.
That's what Love meant when announcing he'd re-sign: Watching the team during the game he sat out proves they need him & the other talented guys on the team.
So the 2 MVP's, 1st team all NBA, 1st team all defense, rookie of the year and all those other awards just never happened?
Of course they did... However, they are given by either persons or groups made up of multiple persons. These persons are simply expressing their opinions/viewpoints, which they have a right to as much as anyone does.
If viewpoints were always right, however, ophthalmologists would be out of work.
Yes, they give their opinions as experts in their field. Whereas you're saying every NBA MVP really stunk.
What makes then experts? Nothing in truth.
Also, I'm not saying every MVP stunk. Mainly Lebron. I don't blame you for thinking he's great, as so does he.... But that's a thought, not a fact.
They're all sports writers who live & breathe NBA basketball.
Here's a fact, every person who has won the MVP and was nominated for the hall of fame has gotten in.
Now you're saying all the guys in the hall of fame don't belong.
They live human lives & breathe oxygen. Skipping over your other fact (true doesn't mean right/correct), you're likewise incorrect about what I'm "saying" (& not for the first time).
So what are you saying about players who have won the MVP?
Nothing about all of them. The thread is about Lebron, I've lived 90% of my life in the Cleveland area, & unlike you, am not generalizing off-topic.
You brought it up. You said Lebron wasn't a good basketball player. I disagreed and cited that he has won the MVP twice. You then made comments about the MVP award that brought us to where we are. Now when asked about your comments you don't want to clarify them. I'm not surprised.
You cited his MVP wins as if they are proof of some fact. They are, but only that the voters believe him to be the best. If a million people believe the opposite (& we don't know that isn't the case), that simply means it's what those people think. It does not confirm his supreme talent as any kind of fact.
Your post proves you simultaneously understood what I wrote & blew it out of proportion. Ironically, that's a decent description of what some have done with Lebron's talent. Regardless, it is no justification for your belittling of me or my opinions.
Again, they're experts. They work with and discuss topics with other experts in the field. People who are armchair fans don't see as many games, and don't discuss games with other experts.
I did understand what you wrote. When I asked you to explain why Lebron wasn't a good player you couldn't cite anything as proof. I asked what your opinions were based on and you couldn't tell me.
They are experts for what reason?! Because they spend most of their time watching & thinking about sports?! Lots do & hey are called unemployed!
Explain why he's not a good player? Explain what my opinions & that fact are based on?! Now I see you are not an expert... And "seeing" that is done differently than the seeing with my eyes, which we could both do (each with our own eyes), & have either opinion, but base it on our sights of the same things.
Again, you're wrong. The unemployed who sit around watching sports don't know as much as sports writers because there's no accountability. They don't have to hold their own & defend their opinions.
So what it comes down to is when asked to explain why you think he's not a good player you can't cite a single piece of evidence. Based on that it's you who doesn't know what they're talking about. I can explain, and give specific examples & facts (and I already have) on why he's a good player. Since you haven't a clue what you're talking about your eyes aren't any evidence.
I'll be here waiting if you actually have something to offer to the conversation.
Lacking accountability does not mean they lack knowledge on any subject, but that they aren't required/paid to have it.
I needn't cite any evidence. Evidence of his ability (or lack thereof) would be what is seen when viewing any game(s), which we can likely both do simultaneously. Seeing same thing, we should have same opinion, but that is not necessarily true & certainly not required nor expected.
I know what I'm talking about, & so do you. Denying that about the other is simply ego refusing to admit we know what we're saying, & know it is bull.
I'll be here waiting for your admittance/apology.
Would you two imbeciles take this to PM and stop bumping this thread. ffs.
I'm sorry you don't know what you're talking about and that I keep putting you in a position that exposes such. In my defense it's really hard not to do.
It's impossible to expose something such as that, when it is not true/factual. I'm sorry you actually don't know what you're posting about (possibly including something as basic as the difference between opinion, even a popular one, & actual provable fact). However, I also apologize for not noticing earlier what has now become abundantly clear: The fact you keep going to such off-topic things (the jobs of "experts"; claims I've denied the meaning of MVP awards, HOF inductions, & the like, which I've never done; etc.) b/c you don't know what you're talking about on or of-topic.
You still can't explain your position because you don't know what anything that you're talking about.
I'm going to again disagree with you, the topic of this thread is Lebron and I have talked about Lebron.
You did bring up your opinion on the MVP.
Nothing about all of them. The thread is about Lebron, I've lived 90% of my life in the Cleveland area, & unlike you, am not generalizing off-topic.
That explains it.![]()
I know what I'm talking about as much as you do (though that, admittedly, is saying little if anything).
You talk about the awards he has won, who votes for them & why they have the right/ability to, etc., but mostly make attacks on me despite the undeniable fact that any opinion (the majority of either of our posts) about him & any other players can be proven as much as anyone else's through the same viewing of the same plays/games.
Yes, I brought up my opinion on the MVP & the HOF. However, I did not declare the winning of one or induction to the other meaningless/worthless as you later claimed I had.
You don't have a clue what you're talking about and the science shows that.
You literally just said that about the MVP and the HOF right there in the bold. If your position is that anyone's opinion is as good as anyone else's, and that any opinion can be proven, then the MVP & HOF nominations are meaningless.
There is way too much undeniable science proving you wrong. Lebron averages 27.5 ppg over his career. There are only 3 guys in the entire history of basketball who have averaged more ppg.
I"m sorry but you haven't the foggiest clue what you're watching and there's way too much scientific evidence showing that you don't.
