This seems to be a building trend in many major media outlets. Find a juicy story and put it in print before investigating the allegations. Advocacy posing as journalism. And the print media wonders why it's losing credibility.

The broadcast media isn't doing a hell of a lot better. What they decide to report and what they decide "isn't news" is putting more an more Americans off. And they just don't understand why FOX is kicking everyone's ass.

Of course my mentioning FOX is certain to bring a whole crew of morons out that can't discern between news and commentary. FOX covers the news and does it well. Their presentations are pretty much unbiased and they cover events that the 'alphabets' and CNN ignore. Their nightly lineup is the same as the rest of the cable folks, biased commentators.

Yeah. ...but, at least they made a big deal of the retraction. Definately a valid apology, even if it never should have happened.

Yeah, don't talk about Fox news like ishtard did in 2 of his 3 paragraphs, because it's not about them.

I have a lot to say on this, and I am not surprised that the story is bullshit. However you turned your post into an ad for Fox so I can't participate beyond this post

I'm taking a wild swing at this, but you were in remedial classes in highschool, weren't you?
Sounds warm and cozy.
Ish wins with the fox card.

True, but the original story was like 8K words, a fucking novella. You'd have thought that some fact checking would have been included. And that's the point, they didn't check Jack Shit, just as the media didn't bother checking the whole "Hands up, don't shoot" fiasco.

Yeah. The fact that there was no fact checking is terribad. Makes anything the current editors of RS were involved in questionable.

Granted it's an entertainment magazine, but now EVERYTHING they have done recently is easily considered biased.

Fine by me funk. But the story isn't the rape. I've come to take all such sensationalism stories with a grain of salt, be it rape or the MB shooting.

And while the young lady that perpetrated the story needs to be seriously treated as a social outcast (at least until she finishes her psychiatric therapy), it is the growing lack of journalistic integrity that is the issue. If they're going to continuously treat us to sensationalistic bull shit then there is nothing to be believed.

BTW: This story is everywhere, places other than FOX are reporting it. FYI.

1. I don't need anyone's approval.

2. I thought you had me on ignore?

3. I just proved you are a fucking liar.

I'm writing a nuclear ignore function for firefox. I needed a test dummy. You were available.

Of course they are now. And they did back a few days ago as well. They took RS at face value and parroted the story.
