Putin will carve Ukraine as he likes.

The EU is militarily impotent and always will be: it will do nothing.

The US is too far away: it will do nothing. There is no Al-Sabah in Ukraine.

There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. But trust me, it's all for the rubes.

But how far much farther will he go?

Why should the U.S consult him anymore on other international affairs.

and how can the world make any demands on Israel, while allowing Putin to steal land?

The reality is this:

Mexicans have a super-majority in both houses of the legislature, and a Governor.

Top that.

I dare you.

However, the Mexicans are depending on the blacks, who are a little sketchy about the Mexicans.

A black/white alliance could blow the Mexicans out and take the legislature back, but I don't think they're ready to commit to something like that.

It IS different, if we look at how they got the land, and whether they may have a legit claim to it. I think Israel has a stronger foot to stand on, if not totally solid.

But in the sense of "the world's" reaction, it's pretty much the same. Vocal criticism, and tentative diplomatic attempts at negotiation. Possibly sanctions from some directions. But otherwise fuck all.
