Now it's a waiting game. ...

Got it. The problem is that previously, you said this:

Then you said this:

Hence the whoopsie-doodle. You forgot your previous lie. It happens in times of crisis, and also to people who lie.

When I got to the end of my road, the cops told me to leave.
I was already on the way.

Got it. So you left your house, got to the end of your road, and the cops stopped you and told you to leave. You then pulled the car over, pulled out your phone or tablet, and posted the following to Lit--including the part about how you and the kidlet were ABOUT to leave, even though you'd already left. Is that right?

Right, we have been ordered to evacuate by the police.
The animals are free (all gates are open) and the kidlet and I are about to leave.

Wish us luck!

Weird, the fire must have cut out her internet just exactly then.

There's a national fire alert, three states have fires across them.

Tasmania, Victoria and now New South Wales.

Here in Sydney it's almost 9pm and the temperature is 40C and we aren't anywhere near the fires. I go outside and it's like standing in a clothes dryer, hot and very windy.

Hi, Pussy_Patrol. This thread is entitled "Now it's a waiting game." You joined this month. How in the world did you guess it was about wildfires in Oceania? You must be very smart!

I feel really bad about Warrior Queen's internet. The fire must be raging out of control. Someone should help the poor women. Like police! If only there were police there, somewhere. Somewhere...

And then there were two.

Oh no, I'm bored and concerned with Australia getting rain! Obvious alt is obvious!

Enjoy your petty forum squabbles. I'm old enough to not give a shit either way.

By the way, you may want to do something about that paranoia.

OK, thanks, VBM.

I live in Sydney.

I see you had a warm day there today - I'm up on the GC and it was pretty damn toasty here but it never got much over 30ish all day.

But I hear tomorrow is going to be our day for the heat bubble - Brisbane up to 38C so we will crack 35C.

Temp here is 38C now and there's a strong wind blowing.

Good luck for tomorrow.

(It's time consuming cropping a pic on a mobile)

Ta. We have a pool - 'nuff said.

That's a Qld prerequisite.

We have one too. I've had it running since 6.30am this morning and the sprinklers on for four hours this afternoon. Fifteen minutes out in the sun today and you'll start getting burnt if you are not careful. Besides it's much better in the house with the aircon. Who knows maybe it will be a midnight swim?

Motherfuckers don't read where you are?
We live here. That's how we know. Shit.

It's 3-30am, and I have been home for a little over an hour.
Power has been restored and those of us on the northern end of the road have been allowed back.
I had a drive around the property, and we've come away without too much trouble.

The fire is still going, but has been downgraded to an 'advice'. It has become fucking cold - 10 degrees atm! But the wind is still up around 25 - 30 km, and although it has changed direction and is blowing the front away from here, we are not completely out of danger yet.

It has been a long night.

Real bummer about the racist liar surviving and all. Maybe next time. I'm sure there will be another disaster in it's life before long.

I wanted to reply to this thread but my family and I are being held at gun point.

I'm just going to wait it out and see what happens.

Are you watching your neighbors two houses down also get held at gunpoint even though "two houses down" is 2 miles away?
