Oh yeah. One Long distance race (300 miles) I was in. We were about 1/2 way, and a storm moved in 35mph and above winds (we were in 40+ for a while), 6ft + waves (great lakes, so they are steep and you pound through them), all coming right on the nose. We were in this for about 12 hours. I have never puked so much in all my life. I have never worked so hard while puking either...
Of the 300 boats in the race, only about 200 finished. I considered finishing (which we did) a win. One boat sank.
That was the worst...
I've been in other storms that were exciting, but less seasick.
