Single issues only, please. What is the single most important reason, in your view, that will lead to Obama's re-election? The issue can be a "pro" for Obama, or a "con" for Romney.

As I see it, Obama's charisma is the only potential reason that I can see for his re-election.

It boggles my mind when people call that individual "a great orator" or "charismatic." I don't think they have ever even listened to him with an open mind. They see a half-black dude and assume that he'll be a "great orator" because historically alot of black politicians have been good orators. He's not even black. He's half white, was raised by whites, and doesn't even sound like he's black. He sounds like he just wandered in off the farm from the cornbelt. He is NOT "cool" at all. He's a boring, midwestern dweebie white guy who sounds like he's trying to be a cult leader by talking in a slow deliberate monotone.

Obama + teleprompter = charismatic speech.

Obama - teleprompter = on-his-feet thinking that can be horrendous. Like stuttering, "share the wealth" remark, "the private sector is doing fine" line, "you did not build that" line, the "I'll keep my foot on the throat of BP" line, etc.

I still think his charisma is his only weapon to win. he can bash Romney all day long. When voters go into their polling place, they'll have to decide of 4 more years of Obama vs. taking a chance on a new guy. People do not ordinarily vote for someone they do not like.

Because the sensible American public has witnessed the vitriol of the right fringe re: Obama, and they recognise jaded and inflexible thinking when they see it.

When Obama wins, it won't be because he won. It'll be because of folks like the regulars in this forum, and their "we're the alternative" messaging.
