If you were given the opportunity, would you actually want to be famous?

From what I've heard, it is an extremely difficult lifestyle in which you have absolutely no privacy whatsoever. Your every action and every utterance is publicized and scrutinized.

You can't leave your house without constantly being pestered for autographs and pictures.

Most celebrities and public figures will probably tell you that they deeply regret ever having become famous in the first place.

Their lives are not their own.

There is no way I could ever become famous because of my dark, mysterious, and shady past. For example, if this "Mike Yates" character was outed on this website, as well as the things I've said and done on the internet over the years, then it would instantly be all over.

Depends on what you're famous for. If you were a movie star, it might make your popularity go up. However, should you be famous for, oh I don't know, stalking & killing Susan Slaughter, then you'd best hope the prosecution never finds it......

I just want the wealth that goes with it. I don't need fame, just money.
