Is anyone here married or has been married in the past?

More than 75% of married couples end up divorced within five to ten years after getting married. Not to mention extremely costly alimony or child support.

I do not have any intentions on ever getting married. A civil union (living with someone) is probably a much better alternative to marriage. You don't have to give your spouse half of your estate/everything you own during a heated divorce.

Just about every single person I know who has been married has ended up divorced not long thereafter.

My wife and I have been happily married for...uh...ah...a lot of years now and we're still as happy as the day we first fell in love.

I'm lucky, though: she doesn't care to play on LIT at all, but she has no problem whatsoever - none - with me spending the great majority of my time here instead of with her.
