Bring back the EI thread!!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't believe I can find the Erotic Images and the Thoughts They Provoke thread. I've been told perhaps the moderators removed it for some reason..if so, why? Was anybody offended by it? Fear of some type of copyright litigation? A lot of people put a lot of time and effort into that thread, and there's even more fans of it out there.. complete shame to just remove it like that. What's going on?!

I was told by my dear friend Etoile that that thread was started for me, because of m y love of the erotic pics he posted.

I may write him and ask him if he was advised of why, as well.

I wrote the moderator and am writing etoile right now.

If I do get some answers I'll let you know. My thought if there was a copyright issue, why not remove the post, not the entire thread?

Exactly. Thanks for doing the leg-work on an issue that im sure quite a few fans are up in arms about right now. (just learned of it myself.) I can see a copyright thing happening (just the nature of takeing pics from anywhere on the web) but to remove an entire, populiar,massive thread? Dosent make sense.

I was searching the threads for EI, then found this...WTF??? Pardon my language...how many images were 'edited' with little prohibitive notes when the source was copyrighted? They should have emailed someone before deleting it or at least posted somewhere a reason why...geezuz, Etoile must be spinning right now...all that 'research'...not fair...

*sniff sob*...I really really liked that thread...the images were delicious and thought-provoking...a unique way to express what you felt at the moment...

Someone please PM me when it comes back or another is started...

Yeah probably, but the copyright thing is annoying I mean it's not like we are using the pictures to claim it as out own or something, we are just sharing them with others. The thing I have always liked about Literotica is that pretty much anything goes, if they start getting strict with picture posting then I might need a new place to hang.

Yeah, I love the picture threads too (as you might have guessed,haha). It would suck if they got unreasonably strict and this place went down the shitter,anymore than it already has. Plus their guidlines for what is and isnt acceptable can be vague and inconsistantly enforced. Ive had some experience with this. Thats the last thread I expected to be deleted.

Here are the basic Forum Photo Guidelines:

- Legally, we can allow soft nudity, but under current United States law, photographs (does not apply to non-photographic images) posted on this site may not contain "sexually explicit conduct", which the government defines as:

- Actual or simulated:
(A) sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex;
(B) bestiality;
(C) masturbation;
(D) sadistic or masochistic abuse; or
(E) lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person.

Now, while I know there a lot of pic's posted that this applies to, unless someone complains, we don't know about them.


I'd like to know what kind of asshat spends hours going onto a thread with a buttload of pictures, looks at each individually, following the links back and taking notes on what is a copyright violation and what is not. And what ones violate the photograph rules here and makes notes.

I won't advocate posting pics against the site's TOS, but what I will say is who the fuck does something like that??? Seriously, what a twat.

That wasn't the issue, though sweet thing. It was rife with what I consider erotic images, and yes, even some pornography...the issue was that someone decided to cause trouble, let us call a spade a spade, and have one of the most popular threads here removed for their own purposes.

And THAT is the pathetic part.
