I'm on drink #3. I've never gone beyond 2 with the absinthe before.
I've never tried Absinthe. Heard lots of things, but never had the opportunity to try it firsthand so far.

My first experience was with a weaker brand. I love the taste (licorice), but I never got a buzz from that brand (a Czech variety). This German brand (from www.alandia.de) is excellent -- and strong enough that I can feel it even at my slow pace of consumption. It's a high kinda like weed ... mellow ... but more opium-like in a surreal sense.

My drinking habits are very modest, rarely drink at all now. Strange. Don't see the need to. Either of us. If I do, it's maybe a glass of wine with friends over supper, or a SoCo and coke with ice at home.
And here, it's rapidly approaching 8am Sunday morning, and already done a pile of chores, with more to follow. My beautiful wife is still dead to the world upstairs, so the house is quiet, peaceful. Just how I like it. The sky is already blindingly blue, the sun up and reflecting in a deep, intense gold off the upstairs windows of the houses across the street. There's not a breath of wind. Perfect day so far.
