the Un-Hijackable, Non Sequitor, Rambling Thread

Thanks for the kind comments, everybody! I don't have flashes of brilliance too often, so it's cool when it happens, y'know? I'm glad that we're not the only ones having fun! Ms. T has 3 part time subs (me and two guys) and one part part-time sub. We all went to the zoo one day last summer and the p-pt sub (as we affectionately call him) has a photo of the rest of us, standing in a group, on one foot, with the other tucked up, doing a mass Flamingo impression. It was a spur of the moment thing. He says "go stand on the edge of the pond, near the Flamingos! How funny, you're all wearing red somewhere!" and we all looked at each other and assumed the position. He carries it in the cab of his truck while he's on the road. A week later, at a kinky party, Ms. T snapped at us to "assume the position" and all three of us Flamingoed. She just laughed and laughed.

Sheesh some people really don't switch their brains into gear...post a picture taken in the depths of the rainforest where the canopy blocks out much of the sunlight, and even though it is still clearly light enough to see everything clearly right down to individual fronds on palms, they complain about there not being more sunlight....what am I, God?!!...I really can't arrange to have the sun brought in for my personal photos, nor would I want to.

Oh, come on, Cat. You can do better than that.

And move Heaven and Earth while you're at it. :p

LOL, well I try, but it just wasn't moving for me that day.:D I really do wonder why some people are fixated on photos only being taken in full sunlight though...seems there are a lot of them around.

Who knows? I don't know anything about photography myself, but I know Kitty complains a lot about her pictures having too much light (sunlight or artificial) in them. So if she takes any outside, she tries to either take them in partial shade or as the sun is going down, so it's not so bright.

But then, I'm definitely not the best person to ask about this. I just know that too much light looks as bad as or worse than not enough.

You can fix too much light with a polarising filter, or tell her to put the camera onto AV mode and fiddle with the aperture settings...the higher the aperture number, the less light is allowed in...also she could set it to TV mode and change the shutter speed to cut down on the light that gets in. It is amazing how many different effects you can get by flicking through the settings. She can also alter the ISO to 100-200 in bright conditions.

She may or may not know this stuff, but I'm not camera-proficient enough to repeat it to her, so I'll just send her the link to this post. :D Danke!

Lol!!
