Ladies and Gents, Bi, Gay or Lesbian, have you stopped seeing anyone due to odd or gross tasting cum? I'm bi myself and did stop swallowing a guy due to his nasty tasting semen, and I've stopped giving head to women on occasion because of a strange odor or taste, but has anyone out there just stopped seeing someone?

I saw an episode of Seinfeld where he breaks up with a girl due to {insert minor imperfection} and it got me thinking the weird thoughts that prevent me from getting into a good school.

I've heard that there are ways for men and women to make their juices sweeter...I wonder if any of them work?

Oh lord stop that right now.

What actually makes juices from a man or a woman taste bad are alchohol, coffee, soda and cigarrettes. A high meat diet adds salt to the juices, so if say you smoke and eat alot of meat it will taste really bad. Sweets actually should be avoided as well in excess because they add a bad taste. Sugar is the reason, it turns bad in the system in excess, at least that was the explanation I heard.

To make it taste good, pineapple juice, honey, and something besides a steak every day. In other words eat like an intelligent person who is not fixated on having drinks coffee and sweets all day ever day and you will taste good.

All of the things that make juices taste bad are not to be avoided, just had in moderation, a candy bar a week, not just coffee all day or soda's all day, smoking of course is right out because eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww it makes for a really bad taste. Of course a normal water intake, as in what the government says you should have every day. If you can follow that, I will be quite happy to drop to my knees and swallow or lick, if not well be glad I won't drop to my knees for anyone else anymore.

There is a post on this in the Blank Manual in How To section, I may have skipped a few bad things and good things.

Keep in mind that not everybody craves oral sex. As long as the guy was a joy to fuck, I couldn't care less what his semen tastes like. Now on the other hand if he had a chronic problem with body odor or halitosis -- that would be a much bigger issue as one couldn't stand to be around him -- sex or no sex. I have heard that these issues can be due to medical problems -- not just bad hygiene. If you suspect that it isn't hygiene, it would be best to first suggest that the guy see a doctor before just dumping him.

Body odors are such a weird issue - I personally have never met someone with underarm or crotch odor that really bothered me, although I am not real fond of the taste of semen or that mucusy stuff that occurs in the vagina during certain parts of a menstrual cycle, or the smell of menstrual blood. And its not because I don't have a sensitive nose, I actually have a really sensitive nose. But I've had someone with me say another person stinks, or I stink  when the smell did not seem particularly offensive to me.

This topic makes me think of what it must have been like in days of old. I've often wondered if the people living several hundred (or more) years ago engaged in the same level of sexual expression as we do today (e.g oral sex and foreplay or just a wham-bam and thank you ). If they did, I suppose our complaints about "odd smells" and such would sound pretty foolish to them. And actually there are many modern cultures where the "American" norm for what constitutes cleanliness is not common. So it seems that off-putting smells may be more a factor of where/how one is raised than anything else.

But I guess for me and my wife, cleanliness is very important to having a pleasant sexual experience. And ditto what "emap" said about diet and smoking being key regarding the topic of taste (not to mention good health in general which is also important to good sex).

I cut out a lot of meat from my diet and drink pineapple juice on a regular basis and it seems to do a good job.

I've been told fruit and veggies help sweeten it up. Meat and other products can make it overly salty.

I don't know if there's truth to it, but that's what I've heard.

I used to see a girl who ate a lot of pasta, and her vagina had the faint taste and smell of it. So that's something else.

I've never come across cum (or pussy) that tasted bad. I have met a few people of both sexes with body odor problems which made me avoid all forms of tasting or even hanging out.

Well cum like urine can be flavored by food. Stay away from asparagus and pungent spices. I know for a fact that eating Tex-Mex food with lots of cumin can make your cum as well as your body odor really strong.

I tried the pinapple juice thing and it sort of worked. There was a product on the market for a few years hat was promoted as making cum taste better. Capitalism knows no limits!

You have some very valid points. For a lot of people if you are around a smell long enough it doesn't bother you. I know what you mean about other modern cultures not having the same level of cleanliness. I couldn't imagine not bathing every day. I remember once when I was in Italy on a bus. There was a VERY well manicured older gentleman, hair slicked back, great clothing (as is more typical of Italians), and very nice shoes. However, I was so nauseated by his body odor, that i had to go sit somewhere else on the bus. There were other times I was somewhat uncomfortable in Europe, but it was when I was in enclosed spaces that it was difficult to cope.

As to years ago, obviously it was before my time even though I'm not young anymore. I do remember hearing stories that in centuries past man on man sex on sailing ships wasn't that uncommon since ships took months to cross, and guys (gay/str8,bi) were desperate to get off. In those situations, I heard that it was usually anal sex (oral was almost unknown) as a person just wouldn't put their mouth/nose in an area that was most likely very rancid given that most were uncircumcised and daily hygiene was VERY atypical. That isn't to say that anal was some how very clean, but rather you simply didn't have your face down there. I also remember in anthropology class that in the Gypsie (Rom) culture, they divide everything into things used above the waste, and things below given that they were so nomadic. They wouldn't wash underpants in the same laundry as undershirts. Likewise, different soap was used for cleaning above the waste as opposed to below.

I try to be open minded, but I just could not imagine changing my ways even when I was young. I know some guys are into locker room smells, I never could understand that. In junior college, at one point I was bunking with a baseball scholor. I really don't know what his problem was on body odor, but it was REALLY bad ALL the time. He had some problems with oily skin, so I don't know if that played a role. I also don't know if he used soap or not, but he DID enter the shower daily. Sometimes it was so bad I would put my OWN sweaty sock over my nose just to verfy that it wasn't me. We only roomed together for a couple months, but it was very difficult to be in the room except when I was so tired that I managed just to fall asleep.

I don't want to sound like I myself smell like roses, coconut, orange blossom, or whatever pleasant smells one should give off. I seem to have a problem with my shower towels. I don't know if I'm not washing them in hot enough water, or if I need to switch them more often, but that is one thing I'm not proud of. I got so I just don't take towels with me when i go to the gym as it only stinks up the car.

Actually i think it's coffee, alcohol, etc. I've heard sugar makes it better. Are you a vegetarian by chance? Never heard of meat affecting it, but i may be wrong.

i used to eat tons of meat, and a girlfriend who used to swallow all the time convinced me to cut down since it made it taste so thick. so I guess meat makes it a lot thicker

I am weird

but I can't get into sex if my partner isn't VERY clean in all areas. Before I give oral, I make her wash. I wish I didn't care, honestly, because it makes it a pain in the ass. :(Honestly, I think I border on phobia with this issue. Anyone have any idea on how to NOT care if your partner isn't squeeky clean and smelling fresh?
