Honest politician is an oxymoron

Any statement of all of anything is almost certainly wrong.Honest politician is an oxymoron

In this case, I strongly believe that most people go into politics with good intentions. It is very hard to maintain your integrity and need to keep running for a seat.
I believe Jimmy Carter kept his integrity to his dying day. You can argue with how effective he was as a President, but I seriously doubt the integrity of anyone who seriously questions his. I have known some high level politicians who were more honest than most people I know.
Most of those I agree with as being dishonest. Retiring as a multi-millionaire is not what it used to be. If you want a middle class level retirement, you need to have a minimum of a few million in your retirement accounts. Biden has an estimated worth of under $10 million. Which is in line with a family income averaging around 250K over a very long career.I disagree with you. If you check the financial records of people before they go into politics and when they retire, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, sleepy Joe, Mitch McConnell etc ad nauseam you will see they all retire as multi millionaires. Actually 'public servant' is the oxymoron
