What happened to the lesbians?

I primarily submit stories to either the NonCon, Mind Control, or Lesbian categories. Ratings are by and large average across those three categories. But readership (views) and favorites are much higher in NonCon and Mind Control than in Lesbian.
Wasn't 2018 when Wattpad took off? There are thousands of lesbian romances on Wattpad, many with over a million reads, so maybe readers went there? Enemies-to-lovers stories are particularly well represented. However, I can't see MC or NC stories going down well on Wattpad.

Not if a bunch of them discovered good men, got married, had kids, and made sandwiches.
By good men, you mean spermdonors who want to co-parent, right? The sandwiches are for the kids' lunchboxes, right?

Part I of my novel goes live tomorrow. It’s in Novels & Novellas, not least as it has some hetero sex as well. But its general vibe is lesbian.

I put Queen of the Roller Derby in Novels and Novellas, and tagged it lesbian. It's over 50k words and I thought, well, it is a novel. Stories with lesbian characters need not be pigeonholed.

Never sure whether to take a statement like this from you at face value (probably never is a good bet), but this is certainly not true.
As a rule of thumb, it's probably safe to take nothing I say seriously, unless it's about writing or editing. Or my wife.

I'm desperately trying to finish and post my latest one, praying not to get stuck in the hellish fires of Pending Purgatory.

On another note, a smug plot bunny is now bouncing around in my head trying to convince me to write a lesbian romance that entirely takes place in a sandwich shop.
