Comments That Make Your Day

I have replied to a couple of particularly thoughtful comments via the feedback option on the story side. If I have seen their name on the forum side, I will PM here. Sometimes they respond back again, usually not. I had a long stretch of never checking gmail account I use for here. I had no reason to once I had it established. I have only had a small number of feedbacks sent to me there instead of comments or PM's here.

I definitely reply if they send a message through the contact form.

with the exception of a few... creepy ones.
Oh, no, I meant I reach out to them via the form. But, yes, if they contact me, I chat, too.

The creepy ones get sent to spam after the first creepening.

I do wish there was a way to contact anonymous commenters, particularly if they bring up a good critique of the story as I would like to thank them for bringing it to my attention and pick their brain a little on it.

I can't get my mind past the modified contract. Too many people who would know better somehow missed it? The main character, PERSONALLY FAMILIAR WITH THE FUCKERY that goes on in the business never had a lawyer (either personal or one from work) review it?
This pleases me because the anonymous commenter picked up on something I meant readers to notice. That contract thing really isn't plausible. It's a plot point.

Comment is on the second chapter of Pranked: Barbie.

I work on the theory that, although most people won’t check for a response, some of them do, and others will see your appreciation and be motivated to comment accordingly. I also DM named commentators when I have the energy.
I rarely reply there on the comment page, only if the commenter is anonymous. But I try to send a DM to named commentators. When I get a DM from a reader, I end up chatting back and forth with them, and add them to my readers list. Every Sunday evening I send out an email to that list describing what projects I'm working on, be it writing or making Christmas ornaments. It's great fun chatting with my readers and I even have a couple of writers on my email list. I wasn't sure if it meant anything but last week I didn't get my "News Letter" out and I got several emails wondering if I was OK. I found out yesterday that Lubrican, a writer who has been around forever, a guy I truly admire for his skill and his longevity (I followed him on ASSTR) does the same thing.

I will reply on the comment page if there is a clear misunderstanding, because that can mislead other readers.

A comment on Stormwatch Chapter 10

It was so real, brought back such wonderful memories. I’d find myself drifting off somewhere else, triggered by a phrase. It’s never taken me so long to finish a story; perhaps it’s because the writing is just that good or maybe I’ve never allowed myself to connect so intimately within a scene. I know these people although merely metaphorically. It was a lovely visit back home again to a simpler, more sincere era.

Got this one on my latest story:

Another fantastic and fun adventure. It is always good to see that Brian Mooney lives on even if only in our imagination! Would love to know more about all of these new threads and people but we trust you to bring them in your own good time. Oh yes I was so hoping to see a certain waitress and her Air Force friend. Good memories.

Received a nice comment about an older FT story of mine that is one of my favorites, though obviously not to a lot of people.

“I actually was a meter reader for several years before advancing to other departments…..Trionyx, you did a stellar job with this theme. It sounds like you may have actually been a meter reader too.”

I have to confess I was never a meter reader and it thrills me no end that someone with personal experience believed I could have been one.

I just love it when a new follower goes through the back catalogue and comments as they go. I've got one of those at the moment (@Goldustwing, who is also following some other authors active here) and it means there's a little parcel of joy every day or two. This just in on 'Mirror Twin' in Taboo/Incest, where mirror-image twin sisters develop a stage act in Paris while sharing a cheap hotel room:
You are such a creative thinker. Your vivid imagination coupled with your deliciously erotic sex scenes make this a wonderful story, like all of your others. Bravo!!

Lovely comment on Forty:

That was amazing. New definition of slow burn, all done so lovingly, so well. Had to stop numerous times just to stop crying. So, so, SO GOOD! You shared a lot of yourself in this story, thanks for a wonderful read!

❤️

Given it's 82,000 words long, I'm always super grateful that anyone has made it to the end! Added bonus when they comment.

Plus, it's comment number 39 on that story - one more to reach its namesake!

Not here, but on BlueSky by VisciousKitten

A banger by @emilymillerlit.bsky.social www.literotica.com/s/the-story-...Lyrical prose. Well-paced exposition. Titillating foreshadowing. Emily mystically maintains the erotic as both central theme and tertiary indulgence. Hints of various #bondage themes dance with complex contemporary questions

The reason this made my day was that VisciousKitten got so much of what I was trying to achieve - that’s amazingly gratifying 😍

Just got a new comment on a story I wrote and submitted much too quickly. (I need to edit it, I was in a rush to get it done. Never write in a rush.)

His settings prevent me from DMing him to tell him this directly, but I am delighted, chuffed and stoked to have taught @Eosphorus some new words today, as revealed in his lovely comment on my "Jade and the Unicorn Affair":

I came here after the other Jade story the other day. This was another clever and well-constructed caper. A good mix of adventure, humor, and sexiness. Great twist at the end, too.
The safecracking aspects really stood out to me as well-written and smart. I also enjoyed looking up some of the Australian slang. Didn’t know “bogan” or “offsider.”
More Jade, please! 😀

(some of that safecracking detail was suggested by @PennyThompson, incidentally, who as we know is more than just a pretty but offcentred profile picture)

The comment also made up for the preceding comment from somebody else urging me to have my heroine eschew safe sex in her next adventure, which didn't sit very well with me (or Jade).
