I think it varies by individual. For some it can be traced back to intense or traumatic events. For others it can be traced to early sexual experiences that were not traumatic (as a teen). Age does have a lot to do with it IMHO. However - speaking for myself? For some reason very early on I have to admit being turned on by what is now euphemistically labeled watersports. No trauma, I had a very typical late 50's childhood. Genetics? Just because? Who knows.
