What are we all writing right now?

Just finished reading, five stars and favorited, left a comment. I'd like to see you explore how this couple developed their relationship up to this point. Seems like there'd be a great story right there. Also the young lady. How did she arrive to the point that the first man who treated her decently made such a strong immeidate impression on her.

The scene where she described the wife approaching her, that'd be a good story, too!

I've always said the best stories are the ones that after you finish them, you wonder, "What would have happened next?"
I really appreciate that. I got some hard to swallow feedback on that one which echoed a lot of what you're saying.

I think the correct direction for a 'sequel' is from Evelyn's perspective, filling in some of those details but also just spending some time characterizing her more directly. Part of me wishes I'd have had that foresight to simply write the whole thing from that perspective, but that's a useless regret. Anyway I think it's a good way to continue the narrative in a more stand-alone way that will improve the original indirectly if done well.

After a hiatus these past several months, I’ve started writing again this week. Several thousand words into a new story that may be my longest work yet (not a very high bar, but still).

Fundamental concept is a recently divorced man trying to get his head right, seduced by a couple of inappropriate options and ultimately deceiving himself. Might go in Mature, might go in Novels/Novellas, but it’s good to be writing again.

I'm working on a Nude Day submission, using the characters from my first published story.

I'm waiting on my second story to be published. I submitted it eight days ago. 😳

I have a cousin at college and nieces on the farm stories underway currently. I am looking to build on a couple of the characters from earlier stories but want to find a way to weave the story line in with some sense rather than a complete fork.

I'm still just in the plotting phase, but I'm starting to work on what will probably end up being both more conventional and also a lot longer than anything I've written before...

Tentatively titled "Vocational Awe," a lesbian romance between a librarian struggling with professional burnout and a free-spirited maker-type.

I want to explore themes of working with imperfect systems, community care, rediscovering your calling, and hitting the gym with your crush

It think I'm working on something that should be published somewhere else, since the sex is just a side plot, but I don't publish on other platforms... Well let's see how it makes it I here. The Pharaoh’s Bloodline is the tales name.

Published today: Vixen describes the third pick up 'date'
10,000 words. Runs against the notion that all hotwife husbands are being cucked.

Husband knows full well when she travels along their will be a great story
to tell. His kink is getting off on the details. Published five months ago but
didn't get any traction. I think because the title sucks.

Sometimes I think I spend more time working on continuity and punctuation than writing.

A member used a Jedi Mind trick on me: You will write your version of Just Once... If You Don't Mind?

And here I am… I will write my version of Just Once... If You Don't Mind?

DAMMIT!!

Now there's a plot bunny waiting to happen.

An author's fan mind controls them into writing a sequel to their favorite story, but in order to keep the author on tract with writing they must repeatedly reapply the mind control so they need frequent contact. Shenanigans ensue that don't directly involve mind control, because they can only mind control about one little thing at a time, and they really want this sequel.

Somewhere out there, a GRR Martin fan just got a wistful, faraway look on their face.

You mean explaining how exactly the Netflix adaptation managed to suck so badly?

Oh wait. Same reason GoT season 8 sucked so badly.

It comes full circle. Or maybe just collides with one of the 3 bodies.
I had to look up what you were referring to regarding Netflix, since I was actually talking about the math problem. But hey, if someone figures out either one, I’ll be equally impressed.

The title of the book/Netflix series is referencing to the physics/math problem.

15k words into my "Heroes" story - "PLANS 122 Tangshan Will Seal to Dock"

Flying.......

And I aways like songs to go with my stories - using these two for this one...

March of the Volunteers (Chinese National Anthem)

Battle Hymn of the Strong Army

Well, the show-runners for GoT, Benioff and Weiss, who extremely famously ruined GoT once they ran out of Martin's material to adapt, were very excited to announce that their next project was to adapt the acclaimed Chinese sci-fi novel series The Three Body Problem for Netflix.

To the surprise of no one, the adaptation is bad. The only solution required to solve the Three Body Problem problem is to hire non-hacks to make it!

Sometimes the real three body problem is just finding writers, showrunners, and producers who all know what they’re doing at the same time.

Trying to pull together two completely separate family stories.

One is nearly done, the other barely started.

I'm working on another essay. I battle depression and to be honest, I was in a very dark place over the weekend...

Overwhelming support and spending time with family has made me see the need to get better, so I want to write a message of hope for those who are also battling this shit.

I'm writing my first E/V story (or, rather an E story).

Twenty odd years ago, a friend on mine took part in a Spencer Tunnick installation/photo shoot at the opening of the Saatchi gallery in London. She then stayed on, naked, chatting to the celebrities and art world grandees who had been invited.

My current story imagines that, to celebrate the 20 years since that event, it is being repeated at the gallery's new venue. To up the embarrassment factor, she's going to bump into people she knows there.

That sounds awesome! A wonderful story premise. Can't wait to read it!
