The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

MONDAY!!!
Started out with a scare that both A/C and Furnace would need to be replaced... but turned out to just be a blower motor. Same-day fix and much more affordable. Still a big bite out of my budget, but not nearly as much as a replacement would have been. ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿฅƒ

How's everyone else starting the week?
God, you just made me cry.... I worked that rig and all of Her "sisterships"....
๐Ÿซ‚ You fall squarely in the Superhero category. How anyone survived that disaster is beyond my comprehension.
Let K+ or me know. We can come over and insert an NG tube! You won't taste a thing! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
I was giving this serious consideration during a GI flare - until an elemental diet showed that I was reacting to the process of digestion as much as I was the food.

Still sounds like an attractive option for this prep. My next is due in October - how open is your calendar? ๐Ÿ˜‚
Wait just a little bit until Wat has the commune going. I bet he gives you pick of the houses and will paint any color you want. ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿซ‚
Sound advice!! Always easier to run away from home when you have a destination and secured housing at the other end. ๐Ÿซ‚
I've never tried Tai Chi. I should check it out!
My trainer is so awesome! I feel very fortunate I found her!
Your trainer sounds amazing! So glad you found her... does she have a sibling in the Midwest?? Asking for a friend.
About Tai Chi- I still know a few good moves but I keep twisting my knee when I should by pivoting on the ball of my foot. That meant hurting knee! So Iโ€™m now trying standing Pilates. So far itโ€™s good.
A now-retired PT provider used to offer a Tai Chi for Arthritis class. He used the Dr. Paul Lam program - and he has a YouTube Channel.
I love Part I but my knees and ankles find Part II too twisty.
Minor grade mayhem Saturday and Sunday. Did two days at the airshow. I donโ€™t ever need to do that again, but my friend was needing out on old airplanes.
I mean itโ€™s cool to see them and all, but two days of it? Iโ€™m over it.
There were some good old man bars found tho. Thatโ€™s always fun!
The mark of true friendship there... and I'm sure they appreciated your company. But yes - you get to select the next team activity. ๐Ÿ˜‚
The same rules on what you can bring onto the airfield apply as the local airport. No one knew that so many pocket knives were bagged and secured until after the show when people departed.
Courthouses, too. You would not believe the amount and variety of weapons people try to walk into a courthouse. There's no door check service. Either you hand it over to a deputy (and never get it back), or you leave and re-enter without it.
They do regular sweeps of the landscaping for all the knives, etc. that are "temporarily housed" in the bushes. :ROFLMAO:
And thanks for the birthday martini. Tomorrowโ€™s the big day, but Iโ€™ll drink this now and have another then.
Happy Birthday - today :)

Heading to the doc for a stress test. ๐Ÿ™„. I tried to tell them my job and wife are stressful and I didnโ€™t need to do thisโ€ฆthey werenโ€™t buying it!
Good luck on the test ๐Ÿซ‚
Yeah - surviving regular stressors doesn't give you a free pass. If it did I doubt anyone would need to take that test.
Hope you continue to enjoy vacation and get some good water time in as well!! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ
Back on the east coast of USA!
Welcome home!!! Missed you ๐Ÿซ‚
72ยฐ is my happy place!
Same!!
Thank goodness I had a cooling towel when it hit 80ยฐ in my place Saturday night ๐Ÿฅต
So much better now... 66 outside... and a perfect 72 inside right now ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
I'll stop whining about our nearly 90ยฐ temps!
Hell no! Anything over 72-74 (with a breeze) is deserving of complaint in my book :geek: ๐Ÿ“–
Sixty one degrees here today
mid-sixties... and loving it!! ๐Ÿ’—
I thought the hummingbirds looked hungry this morning. We had 49, but it's warmed up to 50 now! :ROFLMAO:

It's been raining for over 12 hours now, things are really wet out there today. Lawn mowing probably won't get finished today...
49/50 is even better than mid-sixties... but since both are under 72, I won't complain :ROFLMAO:
Now a nurse tells me about the straw after suffering for about 20 years of agony.
Ooh - perfect set up for the only idiom I recall from high school Spanish class:
Mas vale tarde que nunca
Better late than never ๐Ÿ˜
Wait, which end does the straw go in?
The sippy part
Ah choices choices Iโ€™m confused. Iโ€™m heading for the soda fountain. Iโ€™ll have to chime in with what i learn๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿคช
At first I read that as "The slippery part"...
...which wasn't much better...
Either end worked LOL
I am so here for conversations like this one!!! ^^^

About that dress.... it's one who ANYBODY would be fortunate to get under and show thanks and gratitude....
PS.... I'll gladly delete this if it's inappropriate..... but I'll forever stand by the sentiment...
I don't have anything against the dress really... I just want it in a different color :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
These colors suit me more...

Its great likes haha, bit chilly but great, older are you giggling because se aussie say howzat sometimes ? Lol
I ๐Ÿ˜ accents. Perhaps because I grew up in an area known for its lack of strong accent.
So when I replied back with "hiya", I immediately heard one of the characters from "Brokenwood Mysteries" in my head saying, "Howzat".

Chilly here, too, but no complaints from me. I melt in the heat. So while all my friends are complaining about how cold it is and putting on sweatshirts, I'm jamming around in a short-sleeved t-shirt just loving it! Mid 60s F here (@ 17/18 C).

Also in a great mood b/c my A/C is fixed - no need to replace... same-day fix and in great condition for many more years. Over. The. Moon. ๐Ÿ˜

Variety is the spice of life, right?
I love traveling but don't have the budget to go everywhere I'd like or as often as I'd like.
Television and movies are good vehicles for that...

I absolutely fell in love with 1 Night, 2 Days (1๋ฐ• 2์ผ) - a Korean variety show. I especially love the episodes with Kang Ho-dong as the emcee. It ticked all the boxes for me: language, food, fun, culture. Viki.com had full episodes with subtitles. It's what kept me pedaling on my recumbent bike after my first knee replacement.
