The sippy partWait, which end does the straw go in?![]()
Ah choices choices I’m confused. I’m heading for the soda fountain. I’ll have to chime in with what i learnThe sippy part
God, you just made me cry.... I worked that rig and all of Her "sisterships"....Here we are... age old question:
Is it the end of the week or the start?
Either way...

What's everyone else up to?
Gack - struck by the 10k character limit again...
so here's Part 1:
Sorry you're under the weather... hope you get a solid night's sleep and feel better soon.
Hmm... *gets out black book... thumbs to the Ws*
*sets down book*
*Picks up book again*
*sets down book... again*
Oh, c'mon! Make up your mind!! *taps foot impatiently*
Aww, thanks! I don't always have time, but when I do?
Smokejumper - another profession I could never possibly do but am thankful every day that we have folks who can because it's so essential. Especially this time of year!! They help keep me breathing... huge fan!!
That said, do not sell yourself short!! I remember Deepwater Horizon and the 11 souls we lost that day.
In an archetypal story of Good vs Evil played out IRL... there were several heroes on the rig that day. I shudder to think how much worse this could have been without them. And you do this work every day (well, except for the your land rotation w/ your Goddess). I doubt most people think of all that goes into a "simple fill up at the pump" or any of the other items in their life that have their origin in petrochemicals. Thank you for doing this dangerous, needed work.
I spend all of my time on Lit on just this thread and DMs. I just don't have time for more right now. It's the people here that keep drawing me back.
Hands down agree!
I'm also heading into Summer with a dodgy A/C
Balance and Strength - essential! I mostly do Tai Chi for these
I want to be that lady - and I'd love to have your trainer to help me with that transformation!!
I agree... my take on PT? You get out of it what you put into it.
This is what I love about the overnight (to me) posts from @Lilianna23 - Truth Bombs like this
I had the same question so I asked the web:
Time to ask if there's a discount on bulk purchases?![]()

At first I read that as "The slippery part"...The sippy part
It was ok. I was pretty much business while I was there. Qatar oil rich. Had to wear clothing beneath the knees, and arms covered so it was easier wearing a burka, and hijab. Since women must cover there hair. How was yemen....besides hot
About that dress.... it's one who ANYBODY would be fortunate to get under and show thanks and gratitude....No offense to the Pink Ladies... More pink in the shops for y'all. But if I'm wearing pink, it usually means there was a Laundry Disaster.![]()
Either end worked LOLAh choices choices I’m confused. I’m heading for the soda fountain. I’ll have to chime in with what i learn![]()
I wondered about thatIt was ok. I was pretty much business while I was there. Qatar oil rich. Had to wear clothing beneath the knees, and arms covered so it was easier wearing a burka, and hijab. Since women must cover there hair.
Shoulders and knees must always be covered. And gays can be imprisoned for 3 years.I wondered about that
Ya sounds about right. Well glad your back.It was ok. I was pretty much business while I was there. Qatar oil rich. Had to wear clothing beneath the knees, and arms covered so it was easier wearing a burka, and hijab. Since women must cover there hair.
Ah yes the good old pepto bismol pink."Pink organdy dress"
guess that's the nice way of saying "Pepto Bismol dress"?

Yeah.... I knew there were some laws over there. when in Rome.Shoulders and knees must always be covered. And gays can be imprisoned for 3 years.
God, you just made me cry.... I worked that rig and all of Her "sisterships"....
I was giving this serious consideration during a GI flare - until an elemental diet showed that I was reacting to the process of digestion as much as I was the food.Let K+ or me know. We can come over and insert an NG tube! You won't taste a thing!![]()
Sound advice!! Always easier to run away from home when you have a destination and secured housing at the other end.Wait just a little bit until Wat has the commune going. I bet he gives you pick of the houses and will paint any color you want.![]()
Your trainer sounds amazing! So glad you found her... does she have a sibling in the Midwest?? Asking for a friend.I've never tried Tai Chi. I should check it out!
My trainer is so awesome! I feel very fortunate I found her!
A now-retired PT provider used to offer a Tai Chi for Arthritis class. He used the Dr. Paul Lam program - and he has a YouTube Channel.About Tai Chi- I still know a few good moves but I keep twisting my knee when I should by pivoting on the ball of my foot. That meant hurting knee! So I’m now trying standing Pilates. So far it’s good.
The mark of true friendship there... and I'm sure they appreciated your company. But yes - you get to select the next team activity.Minor grade mayhem Saturday and Sunday. Did two days at the airshow. I don’t ever need to do that again, but my friend was needing out on old airplanes.
I mean it’s cool to see them and all, but two days of it? I’m over it.
There were some good old man bars found tho. That’s always fun!
Courthouses, too. You would not believe the amount and variety of weapons people try to walk into a courthouse. There's no door check service. Either you hand it over to a deputy (and never get it back), or you leave and re-enter without it.The same rules on what you can bring onto the airfield apply as the local airport. No one knew that so many pocket knives were bagged and secured until after the show when people departed.
Happy Birthday - todayAnd thanks for the birthday martini. Tomorrow’s the big day, but I’ll drink this now and have another then.
Good luck on the testHeading to the doc for a stress test.. I tried to tell them my job and wife are stressful and I didn’t need to do this…they weren’t buying it!
Welcome home!!! Missed youBack on the east coast of USA!
Same!!72° is my happy place!
Hell no! Anything over 72-74 (with a breeze) is deserving of complaint in my bookI'll stop whining about our nearly 90° temps!
mid-sixties... and loving it!!Sixty one degrees here today
49/50 is even better than mid-sixties... but since both are under 72, I won't complainI thought the hummingbirds looked hungry this morning. We had 49, but it's warmed up to 50 now!
It's been raining for over 12 hours now, things are really wet out there today. Lawn mowing probably won't get finished today...
Ooh - perfect set up for the only idiom I recall from high school Spanish class:Now a nurse tells me about the straw after suffering for about 20 years of agony.
Wait, which end does the straw go in?![]()

I am so here for conversations like this one!!! ^^^Either end worked LOL
I don't have anything against the dress really... I just want it in a different colorAbout that dress.... it's one who ANYBODY would be fortunate to get under and show thanks and gratitude....
PS.... I'll gladly delete this if it's inappropriate..... but I'll forever stand by the sentiment...
