Was just joking around. Was hoping for some good news, as my back is always hurting.
I remember the day i injured my back. I was fairly young. I didn’t pay much attention to it but over the years it hurt but not to the point i paid it match attention. As i aged it became more pronounced. I’ve tried chiropractic, orthopedic, several RFAs and cortisone shots. The MRI shows one disk slightly compressed and arthritis on both sides if lower spine. I refer to it as my “friend”. Always there and on occasion very irritating. The only thing I’ve found as a relationship is that the pain is proportional to my waist size. If i keep my BMI in check the pain is so much less irritating. I’ve also noticed that if i train with at trainer using resistance training the stronger my core the less the pain.
I read a book called The Barbell Prescription: Strength Training for Life After 40 based upon my experience i agree with the author. Even doing all of the above on occasion it still bites but usually is short lived. That’s been my experience. I have to admit on occasion the RFAs really helped allot.

Handwashing - and wash "common items" like door knobs, faucets, toilet handles, remote controls, etc.
Broth - bone broth has those electrolytes plus protein
Rest - sleep is good medicine!!

I have spinal stenosis, which is basically arthritis of the spinal column. The arthritis hits some of the nerve endings and really causes some pain, anywhere from annoying every day pain that’s always there in my SI joints to really painful sciatica “jolts.”

I agree with tweedle.

Working out, exercise, and being in shape definitely has helped me. Stretching is a bigee.

My discs between l5 and l6 and l4 and l5 are both in pretty rough shape - some bulging discs and other wear and tear.


Does anyone know the symptoms of arthritis in the lower back and how it’s different from lower back pain? Yes I have been having lower back pain especially in the morning and today it’s lasting longer than usual.
I think arthritis in a lower back can cause lower back pain, depending what type and where the arthritic joints are.
 
I'm kinda in a jam with my medical treatments. My primary care physician is a member of the Kettering Network.
A week ago it was the recipient of a Cyber attack which took out the entire network ie: phones, computers, diagnostics, everything, at least walkins are still available but any documentation is pen & paper for now. I can't even email my doctor. The news said it could be months before the system could be manageable again. I could go to a different hospital, but my insurance coverage might be out of network.

Yeah, I believe exercise is very important. Back is only part of the picture here, tho. There are some other issues, and the back issues arise from those issues (we think). It's pretty much constant due to those exacerbating circumstances. But, we are still trying to sort the whole thing out.

Pretty consistent weight training and cardio for the last 25 years. Sadly, I've had to back off of the cardio over last few months as things have deteriorated. The heart and lungs will do it, but the muscles won't. Had to back off on most of the weight training a couple years ago, although I still try to do light resistance training and core strengthening stuff.

Thanks. We do not know if it’s a tickborne illness or actually just something physical. My wife is very sensitive to certain things.

The massage therapist really gave her a workout and did a number on her arm. We’re both half convinced (and hoping) that it’s something muscular rather than something tick borne.

Are you familiar with Comfrey?... the old timers called it "bone knit" due to its healing properties.
It's the primary ingredient in the Dr. Christopher's ointment that I linked earlier.
I grow it as well. It'll take the pain out of a yellow jacket sting in 90 seconds.

I boiled my hand, like a pack of hotdogs once, to get a generator online for the ship's power. Not only did Comfrey ointment eliminate the pain, but it had new skin grown by the time the blisters peeled off.
