😈✨🍺MrTenant's Tavern and Dungeon

It is the weekend already? Happy weekend right back at you! I hope you have a great one!
Soon 1 pm on Saturday here.

I wish to be able to rest well today. And it would help a lot if I had energy and enough cognitive skills to be productive tomorrow.

But right now, more...

Here it's President's Day on Monday.
Funny to have secular holidays on the same day with completely different attribution.

And sorry - I'd forgotten (or hadn't realized) you're in Canada

Winter Storm Warning in effect for:
  • Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
Highly impactful winter storm this weekend. What:Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm.Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 6 cm per hour.Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.Slippery surfaces and light ice build-up from freezing rain or freezing drizzle. When:Continuing today and ending Sunday evening. The heaviest snow is expected Sunday.Additional information:A potent low pressure system will bring another impactful winter storm to the area. Periods of snow, at times mixed with freezing drizzle, bringing up to 5 cm of snow will taper this afternoon. Drizzle or freezing drizzle will linger across the region tonight until the second wave of snow moves in.Conditions will rapidly deteriorate Sunday morning as a more significant area of snow and blowing snow arrives. An additional 10 to 20 cm is likely. Freezing rain or ice pellets may mix in with snow at times on Sunday, especially for areas near Lake Erie, which will impact total snowfall accumulations. Travel will be hazardous and is not recommended, particularly on Sunday.Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. Christmas has the lights and gifts and family dinners. Easter, big dinners, easter eggs. Valentine's, all love and hearts. St. Paddy's day is green, alcohol, and corned beef stuff.

How the hell did President's day become let's buy a mattress holiday? Can we just get a new President? Please?

Ok what did Trump do now? I'm not familiar with this Mattress holiday.. Oh and Hello Mrtenant how are you?

I've had Beer especially when I was younger and I want to like it.. Because it's cheap but I just can't get used to the taste it tastes aweful to me.
I'm not going to tell you that you should necessarily try beer ever again; however, the cheap, looks like piss, tastes terrible beer of most people's youth hardly resembles the kind of beer that I enjoy. Like most things, there is a huge range within the category of "beer". I personally prefer amber or dark ales, reds and porters, not too hoppy thank you very much and generally if it comes in a can I don't want it - though there are a few smaller breweries that produce some pretty decent beer in aluminum cans. African Amber and Quilters Irish Death to name two, are readily available in parts of Cascadia, but probably not other places.

These days I'll order a hard cider 9x out of 10 given the choice between cider and beer.

Oh I like Strong Bow Apple Cider..

Oh I like Strong Bow Apple Cider..
I discovered that when I lived in London.
It's quite good.
I'm quite a fan of Okanagan Cider- made in Canada and so far I've never found it for purchase on this side of the border. They make a bunch of different kinds. My favorite is their Harvest Pear Cider. If you find it, give it a try. It's a bit sweeter than the Strongbow profile.

well - I am a west coast girl. idk how widely it is distributed. It is easily available at most beer/ liquor stores I have looked for it in BC and also at the duty free, more often than not.
