I'm using gold 100% agave tequila.
I did a combination of fresh squeezed TX ruby red grapefruit juice, fever tree grapefruit soda, lime juice and home made lime bitters.

I am MrTs barmaid. I take that seriously

And I've learned that bitters make a good drink excellent. And they aren't that hard to make. My home bar has at least a dozen different bitters.

For me the taste is such that I don't even try 😂 Already the smell, actually. Doesn't matter how good quality it is, I used to bring my late husband quite a selection when i found interesting ones, and ex before that tried out several. I can't have any of them.

Some ciders I'd like, but stomach doesn't agree. Some long drinks are ok, but I prefer lemon-vodka, and that's usually not available. Tends to always be grapefruit and gin...

Too many here have had a craptastic week and even Saturday. I hope Sunday is better! For me it turned already on Friday evening, but i also had someone to turn it... I was basically falling apart before that.

President's Day in the US is actually a combination remembrance of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays. I haven't looked it up today, but if memory serves it used to be a holiday for George Washington (the 1st US president) and maybe there was a separate one for Abraham Lincoln (the President during the Civil War and the author of the Emancipation Proclamation which freed the slaves), but they were both in the 2nd half of February. At some point (within my lifetime) they were combined into a single National Holiday now called President's Day. It's not meant to be for ALL presidents, just those two.

Weirdly it does seem to be the holiday when mattresses and furniture are always on extra special sale.

Edit: There are no national traditions for how it is to be celebrated. It's simply a 3 day holiday weekend for some but not all workers. (Mostly government workers and financial workers- what I recall being called "A banker's holiday" in my youth. Does anyone still refer to it like that? Fuck I'm getting old.)

In the UK we still refer to most national holidays as 'bank holidays'.
