The vast majority of Americans support raising taxes on the wealthy. If Republicans voted their constituencies they'd be raising taxes. If you gave a flying fuck what Americans want, YOU would be advocating for raising taxes on the rich.
And you'd be an open advocate for an openly gay military. Where are you on that? Most Americans support it and now that it's been enacted support is just going to increase. How come you don't give a shit about what the WILL OF THE PEOPLE is?

The representatives of each area vote as their constituents demand, or will be removed post haste to be replaced with someone that will.

No, we were founded as a Republic, but we're a Democracy now. The 17th Amendment stripped the states representatives away from them and gave them over to the mob. It is clear to see by the largess of an ever-expanding government that we are now a Democratic Socialist State and hence doomed to eventual decay and collapse under the weight of social spending (for votes) and the bureaucracy required to manage it.
This is their feared outcome, an outcome presaged by DeTocqueville in Democracy.
The State is now looking to nationalize all power utilities as part of its green movement because rural Republican NIMBYs don't want the power lines to cross their land to supply power to the green National Socialist Democratic NIMBYs who didn't want wind farms in their back yards...
