*goes digging for his 'motivation'*

I need to get writing... I go back to work tomorrow!

The sooner my own company takes off the better... no more walking to work! :D

Found it! *Hands you bag labeled "motivation".*
Hands Anna another bag labeled "Good Vibrations"

Let's see which wins out in the end.
Both bags need more batteries.

You're walking to work??? Okay, I used to walk to my gym, back when it was just up the street, but yikes. Yes, your company needs to take off soon.

Okay, I'm not writing and I'm not studying my script. Screw it - I'm baking!

*Brings Costco box of batteries*

Time to celebrate for me!

Both stories I reported are under going moderator's review! :D

*pops the cork from a bottle of sparkling red grape juice*

Anyone want a glass?

Whoo-hoo! Fresh batteries mean that I can run my frother for HOURS!

Juice? I'll have some, topace. Thanks. :)

Edited because I misread something. Never mind. Nothing to see here.

This post was much more interesting before I realized the intriguing "I can run my brother for HOURS!" sentence was really about steamed milk.

Heh, if I had a brother, that would be the funnier way to read it, glynndah. I like it! :rose:

Well, if you hadn't been hogging all the batteries for those silly cappuccinos , he might not have been run down and shoved into the cellar.

Not the last time I checked...

They tended to make power tools that are used in the workshop, not the kitchen.

*pours Anna a glass* Here ya go!

*heads off to find an image of a broken hornet's nest while laughing evilly*

Never seen Brother power tools, and I have a nearly complete shop so I spend a lot of time looking at them. Panasonic, yes. Brother? Uh-uh.

Evening! So, I'm going to stay out of the kitchen for a while....since I just nearly set it on fire.

You didn't substitute everclear for vodka in your piecrust recipe, did you? That's a fireball just waiting to happen.

No, they make printers and sewing machines, SEE?

What's 'everclear'?
You need to have a 'fridge when cooking with Vodka. . .

Why would someone put vodka in a piecrust? While I know it gets mostly baked out, vodka and I don't always get along. Besides, it becomes redundant for me while visiting a Naked Party. ;)

I knew I knew that name from somewhere! Thank you. That was on my mind when I woke up this morning.

I'll just blame being tired when I posted that.

Got to work noon to 5 PM today, and have to walk. Currently it's -16 Celsius out there. Brrr...

The sooner my own company takes off the better IMHO!

Right on.
But
Don't be humble about your aspirations

Note to self: Home-baked bread is always best when made before the yeast's expiry date.

Well, if you use a sourdough starter and keep it either in the refrigerator or refresh the pot regularly, it's immortal. My pot is a culture that's over two hundred fifty years old and it still works fine. 'Course, working with natural yeast is a different skill from the commercial stuff.

Does that not depend upon how long past the "use by" date?
And/ Or how it's been kept ?
And/ Or what type of yeast ?

I'd quite agree with you if it was dried yeast for home-brew wine making. . .

Trust me, yeast past the expiry date is not a good thing.

Last time I tried using it, I got a brick of a loaf - bleh!
