I remember someone here describing a vacation with their folks when they were young. Something about arriving at the Grand Canyon in the dark and walking out of their cabin (only yards away from the edge) in the morning with their father to witness the glory of the canyon at daybreak.

I have loads of great memories of my father but none so visually (I imagine) spectacular. Dunno why I remembered that particular story. Poignant?!
