Recently I had someone ask me to do a commission which would consist of 4 quick and dirty Hotwife scenarios. I use that word because they didn't want much story, just four quick set ups and hot sex. I said I could do it, but what did they specifically want?
Their reply is what put this idea in my head, they replied "Give me the classics, in your style." They added they think my sex scenes are extremely vivid which was the 'style' they wanted. So, it wasn't hard to do, I went with four tropes, for example, the super cliched wife by the pool in her skimpy bathing suit while the landscaper is working...we know what it goes. The husband needs a promotion wife earns it for him, husband owes money, wife pays it off in sex...all easy been done to death, but what they wanted.
Because tropes are tropes because no one gets tired of them.
With that in mind, I looked at all the recent author challenges which of course have a theme, but aside from the theme everything is fair game.
What if the theme was a trope. One that is an iconic erotica classic and for challenge we all just deliver on that trope with whatever spin we could put on it to make it ours. Or...in spirit of the contest, making it as tropy as possible
Maybe the writing equivalent to the ugly sweater contest, we're not gunning for a study in literary originality here, more like feed them what they want.
Any interest?
