A Michigan prosecutor charged a former state lawmaker and a losing candidate for state attorney general Tuesday as part of
an investigation into the improper acquisition of voting machines.
Special prosecutor D.J. Hilson since last year has been looking into efforts by a group of conservatives to persuade election clerks
to give them voting machines as they attempted to prove the 2020 presidential election had been wrongly called for Joe Biden over Donald Trump.
The group never turned up any proof, and courts in dozens of cases across the country ruled that the election was properly decided.

Logan claims he stopped communicating with "any individual associated with the audit" on New Year's Day 2022. But according to AZ Central, records show he exchanged 1,487 texts after that date with allies of Donald Trump "who took active roles in the Arizona Senate's partisan recount."

Logan, who was hired by the Arizona Senate to oversee the recount, texted Lambert dozens of times nearly every day until months after the recount ended, the report said.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel last month announced a slew of charges against the 16 defendants, including conspiracy to commit forgery, forgery, conspiracy to commit election law forgery and election law forgery.

mayor faces calls from constituents to resign, though others are saying 'he loves god/seems a bit suspicious these charges have only been brought 3 years after the fact/etc.., etc..., etc....'
