Medical Conference

Inadvertently Melody's touching in the shower brought about a discovery. Mike was no longer able to get her attention sexually! She was not sure how to proceed. He needed to be informed
of exactly what her intentions were or it would be something that would haunt her conscience.

But first she needed to know! With only her towel she went to the edge of bed and composed a lengthy text message and typed in Will's number at the top. It took a few seconds of courage to press the button.

"Done, no turning back."

Melody dressed slowly and bushed her hair, with the idea of looking nice for her talk with Mike.
She was still in the bedroom when her text alert went off. She was startled! Was he off work?

.Yes, that is a great hospital.
.Set up an interview and
.arrive a day early to be prepared.

It had been some five months, without a bit of contact, not even a Christmas Card when Will saw the number he simply knew. It took a minute to fill in the empty space but it gradually dawned on him that Melody would soon be arriving! He now had to respond. Sounding upbeat, he typed back an invitation.

"Wow...moving up North..."

He had never stopped thinking about the trip to Europe, the conference and Melody being naked in the shower. He deserved a swell break from being a full time doctor and she was it! He was
in the parking lot after getting a haircut when his phone went off. Now he was unable to leave. He was looking at his phone, hoping for more. How often in one's life time do they get an unexpected surprise of this magnitude?

"

Melody saw his second reply. It was suddenly time to have a direct conversation! Melody controlled her impulses, remember the importance staying in sequence. " ..one step at a time.."
It was an old med school slogan that had served her well.

She returned to her computer and printed out the updated resume. Next she typed two cover letters, one for each opening, which included her cellphone number. She carefully proofread everything then loaded her LinkedIn account, followed by sending off each resume to the HHR Department. When it was done, she returned to her home page and just stared at the screen as she may have done six years earlier while applying after residency. It was a feeling that had stayed with her. It was part trepidation and part self-confidence.

"What a big step."

To relax she phoned her parents house and talked with her mother. A phone call that lasted twenty minutes and was something of a record. As she signed off, she checked e-mail. Two replies! The Janesville Hospital wanted to set up an interview! Oh my God!

Will drove to his apartment casually taking his time. His thoughts were half planning and half recalling those incredible days of the previous August. As for her arrival in the area it most certainly indicated that there were strains in her marriage. Melody had been so set in her life when they were last together, that he could not imagine her make a rash change.

"..sometimes good things fall into your lap."

He was at the apartment when her next text arrived. She needed to know what his schedule was for the two weeks left in the month. He felt like simply calling her, but it might be an inconvenient time for her. She should be making the first call. Will made it sound upbeat.

I can free up any days that you need.
I have a car if you need it.
Can't wait to see you!

The last part was more truth then he could have imagined just an hour ago!

Melody was startled with how quickly things in Wisconsin fell into place. She compared it with events she experienced six years earlier to arrive at her current position. The Janesville Hospital would meet with her on February 23, at 10am--a Friday. It made her breath deeply but she was inwardly pleased.

She sent her third text off! Without thinking, she went to the computer and arranged a flight to Chicago. It was for the 20th--28th. She needed a few days with her parents. Suddenly Melody
understood that she and Mike would be needing "to talk." Melody felt the panic of how to begin?

".....there is no turning back..."

She dialed Will's number half hoping to get voicemail.

His phone was on the kitchen counter ten feet away, but the ring made his imagination leap and Will picked it up, getting only one brief second to see her name on the screen.

"Hey there, you are not at work!"

"Nope, it is a day off. So, you are moving up North to find true medicine."

"Yes, that was exactly my thought."

Just getting a great start to their conversation was all he needed. It could not possibly have gone any better. They were instantly wired in to each others thoughts. For him, it was the friendly feeling that he first felt on the flight to Spain. Melody offered the dates and times. Will mentioned that the hospital was a twenty minute drive south, therefore she should stay with him starting on the 20th. In fact he offered to pick her up at the airport?

Melody agreed on the date but still felt it best to get a rental car. She would need it for her visit to her parents. The rest of their talk centered on the hospital, the interview and what questions
might be asked. It ended with Will saying, "....can't wait!"

Will had eight days to get everything at the cottage in order. It was a month earlier then he normally opened for the season, but he kept the heat set on 50 degrees and the water was on, so
it would be not a problem. He quickly started a list of chores on a note card. The first thing was to take off three days of work.

"This is going to be great!"

It took ten minutes after talking to Will on the phone to calm her nerves. She reviewed the call in her head trying to determine if any mistakes had been made. She was smart enough to know what he must be thinking or at least what he was planning. Although that might a good thing! Immediately she stared out the window recalling the stolen moments in the hotel and at the lake when they had been so very intimate. Now that was barely a week away from happening again.

That night she told Mike of her job search. It was a rather methodical presentation emphasizing she felt underappreciated at the hospital and was quite sure that others were advancing in her place. Although it made perfect sense to Melody, Mike was not seeing the problem. Perhaps it was his background in accounting.

"You're making a thousand dollars a day! That's every day of the year!"

" Yep, but the way Pritchard handled my review was like I was undeserving of my current
salary."

"We have a good life here."

Melody was not getting her point across. Mike liked the weather and the year round golf. It
would be difficult to change his mind.

Will opened a bottle of wine as he continued his list which was getting more extensive. He knew that there was more going on here than a job interview. Melody had apparently arrived at a cross-roads in her career and it might have benefitted him.

As he sat back in the chair to sip his wine, Will took stock of how really very little was known about Melody. He did know that he enjoyed everything about what he had discovered thus far.
She simply had captivated him in every way possible. His mind wandered as he began thinking about rubbing his hand over her tender ass!

For the next week, whether at home or at the hospital, her trip to Wisconsin was all she could think about. To be sure there were an enormous number of conflicts that could derail her plan but she felt so good about making this change. Her intentions never wavered. However, Mike was not at all onboard. Strangely it didn't bother Melody.

On Friday, she double checked the schedule to see she was cleared for two weeks. She booked
her flight on Delta with an open-ended ticket. Her final step was to call her parents to inform
them of the trip. She left many of the details vague citing the need to be available for a second
interview, but promised to stay with them three days. Her dad was skeptical but her mom was ecstatic. In her heart that was a good share of Melody's plan.

Her last day at work was Tuesday. On her way out, she passed Pitchard in the hall and he gave no indication of any problem. She smiled as turned the corner thinking of nothing but success. It was only when she was in her car that she thought about spending the long weekend with Wiill.

He will be wanting his reward

Melody smiled at the thoughts of rendezvousing with Will to relive those long nights in Spain!

It was difficult not getting frequent updates on what her plan might entail. He couldn't just phone Melody. Will showed faith as well as patience as he hoped everything would fall into place. On spec he took three vacation days from the medical center. He took a trip out to the cottage on Tuesday night, turned up the heat and stocked the fridge.

Back at the townhouse, Melody finished packing her large suitcase and shuttled a few items to her carry-on. She had a fully checked off list but continued to add items, knowing she could
easily do laundry at her parent's place. When Mike came home he seemed reconciled to her trip but still not pleased about her idea. It was now apparent that he had always been a status-quo
type of person.

The last item Melody added to the carry-on was her favorite book, New Ventures, by Loren King.
She kept it handy and re-read passages for inspiration. The featured character was a thirty-some
career woman who felt cheated ever since her adolescent years and was now discovering sex with an older man.

Mike drove her to the airport on Wednesday morning at ten, having taken off the entire day to
play golf. The temperature was almost eighty. At the drop off, they kissed and he actually offed
words of encouragement even though they sounded hollow. Melody had a few $5 dollar bills for
baggage tips ready as she made her way to security. Ninety minutes later she was in her seat reading, when the plane began to roll. "Well, this is it."

There was a first thought of there being "no turning back." It was quickly replaced with relief that
Melody was taking charge of her life. It felt exhilarating! She had donated so much time, energy
and resources to Northwestern then to her internship. There was feeling of stepping out of a long
shadow to feel the warm sunlight.

She returned to reading her book. The author expanded the storyline emphasizing the sexual awakening of the main character as she slowly unleashed her inhibitions with her new lover. The
writing was very explicit which initially was awkward for Melody, yet slowly she came to savor the technique. Every so often she would look out the plane window to calm herself as the passage would aroused her to the point of complete distraction.

She checked the time. If she landed at three, Melody would easily be at Will's place by five. Tomorrow was an open day which would be a good thing. She could prepare for the interview, be well rested and most of all get reacquainted with Will. The night before she had soaked in the tub and used her razor on more than just her legs!

Will had worked a double shift the night before and got home near midnight. He was still asleep at ten when the alarm went off. The cottage was in far better shape than it had been in August. He had added a living room rug, a new leather couch and an ottoman. He also bought two new sets of towels and fleece comforter.

He had the heat set at seventy and the furnace was running. He started toast and checked the outside thermometer--28 degrees. Melody was in for a surprise. While enjoying coffee he turned to the stock channel.

He became a trifle nervous about this visit. He had not heard from Melody in almost six months, which was easily explained. Her plan was now to move to Wisconsin, which was not easily explained.

During their August meeting, he had said a few things! Very intense feelings were revealed. It
would be a case of taking things at face value.

He took a second cup of coffee.

Once her nerves relaxed Melody returned to her book with the section involving the woman holding on the arm of the couch while being driven from behind by her voracious lover. It gave
explicit descriptions of how the penetration took control of her body. Melody's mind wandered to
thoughts of Will with how he could reach certain levels within her that she never knew existed.
It was in Spain where they first consumed each other!

The book not only excited her imagination it calmed her nerves as she drew closer to Chicago. It
would be a constant battle to keep control at the airport, at the interview and alone with Will. She put the book aside as they prepared for landing. There was her mental list of details for the
airport, to which she added calling Will to give him an expected time of showing up at the cottage.

There were no surprises at the baggage claim and she felt comforted by being at O'Hare. However, as she stepped outside to the rental car bus she was struck by a very brisk wind. She
had not factored in a fifty degree drop in temperature! An hour later she was headed North on
I-90 and placed her call to Will.

"Hey there, good to hear your voice."

"Melody, I am at the grocery store getting steaks and roasts. Do you still like that vegan
macaroni ?"

"Very funny, steak sounds just great. I should be there in forty minutes."

"Great, I promise it will be warm, inside at least."

The very sound of his voice and his perfect tone was such a relief to her mind set. It had always been like that. Will could be so quick at making problems go away. She accelerated as traffic
lightened up.

She was still in Illinois when the countryside began showing snow banks and scattered drifts. It
brought back those unpleasant memories of college. She had cold weather clothing but only a light jacket suitable for the plane.

Melody thought about her greeting for Will. She wanted it to be right. Exactly how do you share
a home for a few nights. There would be that first awkward moment. How would things be in the shower? She had that recurring thought of Will touching her ass! She was breathing rapidly and could not stop. How good it felt when he did.

Let him kiss you.

She could now see continuous snow coverage on the fields. As she passed through Janesville
she attempted to see the hospital. Traffic going north was light. The exit was approaching and shemoved her rental car to the inside lane.

Will was elated that everything was falling into place. He hurried with the groceries back to the cottage and started fresh coffee. As he checked the driveway he put away the food and began
preparing dinner. Thankfully he could cook the steaks indoors on the electric grille as the temperature was only fifteen degrees.

He had the perfect vantage point to watch her car pull in without being seen. As Melody parked he dashed out to meet her. Thankfully her giant suitcase was in the backseat.

"Welcome to winter!"

Melody had watched the temperature falling on the dash yet feeling it was very much a shock. As she took three items from the front seat she heard Will's voice, "Welcome to winter." He opened the door to the back seat and hoisted her large suitcase, which was a good thing as there was at least five inches of snow. She held the door to the cottage, as he walked inside and moments later the brisk air was gone. Will took the suitcase to the bedroom, which certainly settled one question. Instantly he was back to take her jacket.

"Coffee is really hot."

Before she could answer Will was at her side rubbing her shoulder. She turned as if to see him and he kissed her softly. Instinctively, she returned his kiss with a deeper and more intense
one of her own, leaving no doubt that she was ready for him!

"Yes.....umm coffee...sounds great."

Melody took her carry on case to the bedroom and moved a few items into the master bath
which looked incredibly clean. Carefully removed her wedding rings and placed them in her
cosmetic case for safe keeping. It was the very first time they had been off for an extend time
period.

She returned the kitchen where her coffee was waiting at the island. Will had the TV on tuned to
the weather channel.

"Well, I have some bad news. The cold weather we have now, is going to get really cold on Friday."

"Yep, it's northern climate. How is the lake."

"Frozen since Christmas."

"So, no boat ride?"

"If we want, we could ride a snowmobile across it."

"Ooooo...no!"

They were joking and it felt great. Will began preparing dinner as they talked, mostly about her
job interview on Friday. As he refilled her cup, she saw him glance at her hand. He said nothing!

"I love your carpet in your living room."

It was interesting to see her reactions to the winter scene right outside those windows. It was nearly all white into distance. It actually made a person feel chilled simply looking at it. Melody had her own memories of the season yet had woke up that morning to green grass and warm temperatures.

He started the steaks and baked potatoes before offering the tossed salad that he had prepared that morning with no less than fifteen ingredients including three types of olives. Melody smiled
in appreciation as she saw the wooden bowl before her place.

"Ok, now how ready are you for the interview on Friday."

She gave her reasons for switching jobs as Will opened the wine. It was a three-year old Riesling.
He listened, as he asked occasional questions. He avoided getting too personal, but Melody
gave it up willingly just she finished here salad.

"...and Jim is quite sure he can not leave Houston. Not with his golf and club friends. But
that's fine with me. It has been going down hill for some time."

With his back turned, he was free to smile while contemplating how good his life was!

The conversation was so refreshing. They had not spoken in over five months and now talked continuously without pauses. She could not recall doing that with her husband or colleagues at work! The salad was everything she could have wanted. As it was finished Will slid a glass of
white wine in front of her and held his glass as she made a simple toast. It was very cold and so very good!

Will brought forth a few strong supportive suggestions for her interview. The biggest one was to expect more than one person from the hospital staff. Apparently it was a new concept to have a panel of people raising questions about different aspects of the job. She hadn't thought about it.

"You are really up to date with hospital administration."

She glanced at the clock as Will turned off the grille. In less than an hour would they be in the shower together? How would it be to have Will taking her?

Not only was Will preparing their dinner, he was doing it before her eyes and his movements were so enticing. Plus he kept the conversation moving! He seemed quite keyed into her doing
well in the interview like he really wanted her to get the job. It could only mean one thing!

He wanted her to be his!

Though it added pressure it made her feel very wanted. Will desired her. She felt her breathing
increase, as Will handed her plate to her.

"This all looks so good. Tomorrow night it will be my turn."

Will joined her on her side of the kitchen island, carefully refilling their glasses and setting the empty wine bottle in the sink. Will was elated to see Melody intent on getting the position in Janesville. However, there would be plenty of time for talking about the interview on Thursday.

" I thought it quiet here in August."

"Yeah, winter is almost lonely on the lake. This is my first real meal here since November.
I never ice fish. But a lot of people do on weekends."

"They would never catch me out there."

"You ice skated didn't you?"

"Yes, in an arena, where the ice was only one inch thick."

They both laughed. Will set the dishes in the sink for later, as they stepped into the living room to enjoy the fireplace.

It was now pitch black outside as they moved near the fireplace. Will changed the channel to a movie but there wasn't much interest. The living room was noticeably warmer and very pleasant. Will added a log to the fire and picked up a plastic bottle that was resting on hearth.

"Now Melody, you do remember in Spain, we had such body aches after the plane flight that only
a really extensive massage could alleviate the pain?"

"O' yes, I do remember!"

"You are first!"

Melody unbuttoned her blouse. She turned and tossed it on the couch. Next she dropped her skirt all the way to the floor. As she unhooked her bra she turned back to face Will. She loved
his expression as her chest came into view. It was exhilarating to strip right there in his living room. It was such turn on to see him get interested. She could already see that he wanted her!

She had left her underwear in place for him to remove. He wasted no time in taking them down.
Will laid a very nice comforter on the rug then turned the volume down on the TV, as she took her place lying face down with her legs slightly separated.

"Do all of me please."

Melody attempted to be graceful as she kneeled into position still feeling giddy from his touching manner of removing her panties. She was wearing only her socks which seemed rather pointless. Will swooped in by her left side with the lotion. The instant his hand touched her back she knew this would be a treat. The warm lotion had a slight scent but it was his exacting pressure that made it delightful, especially as he moved to her lower back, which was a result of long hours of standing on hard floors.

"I'm going to do your ass."

"Yes....oh yes!"

Melody knew precisely what he intended!

Will was so pleased with how the evening sequence of events was progressing. He watched as Melody casually removed her clothes before waiting for him to remove her final item. He was touching her bare skin, ever so slowly! There was a brief view of her pussy. It was enough to
tell that she was neatly trimmed. The slender slit so inviting!

"Take a good spot on this and get prepared to feel great."

He was almost alarmed by the warm lotion. She made no reaction as he began those repeated circles on her shoulders followed by intense finger pressure to locate every muscle. He was in no
hurry. Will had a great view of her slender ass but knew the value of patience. His shaft felt restless.

"You do know I hope, that you won't be getting your panties back until noon tomorrow!"
