Stories that heavily feature CNC and humiliation are usually my 'go-to' stories, with the caveat that they need to have characters (female characters) that I care about. Reading about sex becomes boring almost instantly if it involves characters in whom I have no interest, so I do probably tend toward slightly longer stories just because it takes a bit of time to get to know people in a story, just like it does in real life. Jumping straight into sex, no thank you. And 'numbers and statistics' are a definite warning sign that the story'll probably skimp on characters in favor of mechanics ... skip inches and sizes and descriptions of geometric perfection and tell me how her breath catches at the sight of ... well, you get the idea. I'm a fan of Panthergirl's 'Carrie' stories and absolutely love Skylerluv's "The Girl on the Bridge," if those examples help! (Oh, and the latter story has neither CNC nor humiliation, it's just really really great.)
