Can we have a Meanwhile moment ?
We can have a meanwhile moment momentarily, HP
Meanwhile NaokoSmith went to London and she did not eat madeleines .
I did stop overnight with a couple of queens. They had the Freixenet open as I walked in the door and brought out a box of chocolates at breakfast - ahhh! my kind of hosts!
'Lo, Sugar. Hullo HP!
Good Morning, Naoko and everyone else who's up and about on this Sunday morning.
I had to look up "Freixenet": Never heard of it. Their website, while showing loads of pictures of vines, etc., is secure enough for a porn site, which also came as a bit of a surprise.
And now I have a problem with a coax plug to sort out; tricky stuff this particular cable.
Coax plug ....
Ummm, yes, Freixenet is very tasty. I like Cavas, and you can get vintage ones too. I like Prosecco - the basis of the Bellini (when mixed with peach juice or something). Prosecco has become curiously fashionable lately and can be found all over the place, while Cava has slipped out of the fashionista eyeline. I'm sure it will be back. I think the Segura Viudas Cavas are highly rated, I can ask my Catalan friend (with whom I stayed in London), if you like.
Would I be right in imagining that Cava is to Spain as Champagne is to France (and Sekt is to Germany)?
Coax plug: A peculiar connector which ensures that the miniscule (millionths of a volt) make it to the receiver properly. They are available in a wide variety of types, from the F-type on satellite kit to the humble TV plug.
Yes! Cava is Spanish for bubbles.
Thank you for the full definition, HP. It was just that the words 'coax' and 'plug' on this site brought ... interesting thoughts to mind but I decided to spare you.
Bubbles
Was he called Bubbles? I remember that test card, LOL. And the muzak they used to play. I really loved it! but I didn't know who it was or how to track it down. It was all Percy Faith and his orchestra-ish. I love their Theme from A Summer Place.
('Lo Sugar )
Hello, Honey
Ah, yes. Remember when every self-respecting 'first family' had a Summer Palace?
Edited to add: Gosh how weird! I put on Wham's Wake Me Up Before You GoGo (my usual breakfast music, LOL,) and an advert popped on with Percy Faith and Theme to A Summer Place! Oooer, LOL.
Didn't someone put words to it ?

Libretti - that Italian bloke wot's written hundreds of songs
The girl in the picture really HATES it.
She was the daughter of the chief engineer, as I recall.
If a Picture Paints a Thousand Words ....
Is that one of Libretti's?
