Describe a first kiss

Tensed bodies.
Stiff lips.
A tongue probes.
She responds.
Lips soften.
Hands roam.
I am in love.
She is not.
I go home alone.
Again.

It was an artic cold day and I took her hand in mine as we left the restaurant. It was our first date and I wondered when or if I'd have the chance to kiss her. I'd wanted to from the very first minute I saw her. We'd been talking for weeks. I already felt like I knew her. I definitely wanted to kiss her and see if we connected on that level.

We walked down the sidewalk, snow fell, the wind blew, we were cold. I decided, fuck it, it's now or never.

I pulled her to me. Wrapped my arms around her and held her close. Her body was up against mine. I didn't hesitate, it was too late to rethink things now. I leaned down, covered her mouth with mine, and kissed her. Her lips were surprisingly warm, her mouth inviting. My tongue explored and we kissed each other. It lasted several seconds and I couldn't imagine a better first kiss. She smiled up at me when I separated from her.

A man walked by and said, get a room. We laughed and walked away hand in hand.
