I am just an animal lover to the nth degree....fuzzy and cuddly or creepy and crawly, i can't stand to harm or hinder anything, I won't even kill a fly.....

Good for you! I am like that to a certain extent. However, flies, roaches, and rats are filthy and carries many threatening diseases. You can't just chase them off, the only way they'll get the message to leave you alone is to terminate them.

Spiders are good because they eat other insects. I actually have several spiders wandering around my home--not because I enjoy them that much, I just never get around to cleaning the webs off the walls.
