Nearly Two-Thirds of Americans Now View Media “The Enemy of the People” – Poll

Almost two-thirds of Americans believe the media is now “truly the enemy of the people,” according to a new Rasmussen poll.

A total of 59 percent of likely voters either strongly or somewhat agree with the statement that the media is the enemy of the people, the survey found.

Unsurprisingly, the belief is more prominent among Republicans at 77 percent.

However, only a slim majority of Democrats disagree.

And here:
Still seems a little low...:D

Who cares?

These are the same people who you don't want to vote.

Of course they are our enemies. They push the agenda of the billionaires, keep millions of people struggling to make ends meet, take away people's rights, and all while journalists sell themselves out for money. These journalists clearly take the view that once you get rid of integrity then the rest is a piece of cake.

And the concept of "independent fact checkers" is a laugh, as much of a laugh as the idea that the media is "neutral".

100% correct. Most people would have a hard time calling someone a friend who lied to them on a daily basis to conceal graft, treason, malfeasance, and their eventual subjugation by tyranny.

Modern media is nothing more than the propaganda wing of corporations exclusively representing the corporate class. Newscasters are corporate owned multi-millionaires telling you what's important to the billionaire class. Every story is framed from the right wing perspective unless it can be used to stir up some culture war nonsense that pits working class people against each other.

Two thirds of Americans see Fox, OANN, Breitbart, The Daily Wire, Drudge Report as enemies of the people.

And water is wet.

Exactly this. Americans want honest, independent and non-objective media. And above all, they want verified FACTS, not conspiracy theories or outright disproven falsehoods. They won't get it through the above "News" sources.

Which incidently are the same ones our KKK friend always links to.
His idea of the ideal media: A propaganda mouthpiece for the type of totalitarian government he envisions for the U.S And he HAS EVEN OUTRIGHT STATED SO! There are plenty of countries where such media not only exists but is loved universally by the masses. North Korea is one such place for example.

He also misses the point completely on why Democrats aren't very fond of the mainstream media these days either: because its conservative bias is just as palpable as he believes its nonexistent liberal bias is.

On the other hand, perhaps the 1% and The Next 9% who together are the ruling class increasingly see 90% as their enemy.

This explains why so much ‘reporting’ sounds like one layer of the ruling class talking to another layer of the ruling class, about a third layer of the ruling class.

Police raid Kansas newspaper office and owner’s home, seize records and computers

The paper’s co-owner and publisher, Eric Meyer, believes Friday’s raid in Marion – about 60 miles north of Wichita – was prompted by a story published Wednesday about a local business owner, while authorities countered they are investigating what they called “identity theft” in a search warrant.

Computers, cell phones, and other materials were seized during the raid at the Marion County Record, Meyer confirmed to CNN.

Officials conducted the raid after Marion County Court Magistrate Judge Laura Viar signed a search warrant Friday morning, which alleges violations of identity theft and “unlawful acts concerning computers.”

They all regurgitate the same headlines, have content with very little detail and no followup. I’ve noticed on the Fox app a lot of reposting X responses, as if that is somehow news. A weak enemy.

Rasmussen is a reputable and non biased source.

Lmao ....definitely hard to say that with a straight face

Independent news outlets will never exist. It is up to yourself to find the information. Most, I would say at least 2 out of three, will never do that and will simply watch whatever is in front of them. Sure they want to have independent and neutral information but only if it requires no additional effort.

On anything more complex than sports scores, the media has always been, at best, suspect, and that's been the case here since gold-diggin' George set his baby boy up in the lies spreading bizness.

Megacorporate media is on life support as spam. The spam budget will be decreasing as it shows failure to control public opinion, and as the corporations become bankrupt.

People need to think critically. Every media is biased to some agenda, and you need to figure out, investigate and discover what that agenda is to understand why they say and report the news the way that they do. People have to get rid of any notions of "neutral media" or "my side's media" providing information to just be downloaded into their brains uncritically.
