Despite vocal pockets of opposition in liberal universities and the media, voters back Israel’s side in the war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip and blame Palestinians for the horrific crisis by about 5 to 1.

Rasmussen Reports tested the views of American voters on the conflict and found wide support for the Jewish state in its reaction to last weekend’s surprise assault by the terrorist group inside Israel.

In its latest survey shared with Secrets on Friday, voters backed Tel Aviv’s call for the “complete eradication of Hamas in Gaza” by a 3 to 1 margin, 66% to 19%. That included majorities of every group tested by Rasmussen.

By an even larger margin, likely voters tested by Rasmussen blamed the Palestinians for the war, 53% to 10%. Another 24% blame both sides. And that included all groups in the survey blaming the Palestinians.

The fact is Hamas does not respect the laws of war and as a terrorists force should not benefit from them either. We have to remember the people of Gaza voted for Hamas. Every member of Hamas and their supporters need to be killed and probably will be. The Gaza strip will become the biggest graveyard in Israel.

The people of Gaza haven't voted since 2006.

Was it hard to post this while chanting, "Jews will not replace us!" 🤔

How is the Israeli army going to identify who is Hamas and who is simply Palestinian?

Keep in mind that over half of the population of Gaza is under eighteen.
They have told civilians who want to leave to leave and they have provided a safe route out. there is a 24-hour deadline. The route terminates at the Egyptian border and will be closed on the deadline.

Typically, the ones who are fighting back.

But also, they have intelligence information from surveillance and spying.

We can assume that the majority of military-aged males in Gaza support Hamas. Every time we see a demonstration in support of Hamas in Gaza we see thousands of such men in enthusiastic support.

Yes, I get that you assume that. Israel, thankfully, will target those actually participating in Hamas and will not indiscriminately kill people.

Alex, you raise a very important question. Hamas is not a military group — they are a terrorist group — and as such they do not wear uniforms or anything else that might separate themselves from ordinary Palestinians. They do not have military bases, they set up their operations in the midst of civilian residential areas, where they cannot be distinguished from ordinary Palestinians. This did not happen by accident. It has long been part of the Hamas strategy to position themselves among the general population so that any effort to root out the cancer of terrorism will also inevitably affect the health of ordinary people. Hamas has deliberately organised itself in a way that will ensure a high toll in civilian lives. They really don’t care about about Palestinian lives, they only care about carrying out the extermination of Israeli lives, in a manner so brutal and barbaric that it has not been seen since the Holocaust.

So, truthfully, the IDF will not be able to 100% determine who is Hamas and who is Palestinian, or which neighbourhoods have been infiltrated by Hamas and which are just Palestinian residences. Innocent lives will certainly be lost in the confusion, despite the best intelligence and surveillance. There’s no point in pretending otherwise. Hopefully the “massacre of the innocents” will be kept small in numbers. But regardless of how many or how few Gazan civilians are killed, responsibility must surely lie 100% on the shoulders of Hamas and their behind-the-scenes enablers.

Yep. That makes it even more apparent that the livelihood of the Palestinian people is absolutely not their concern or reasoning for their actions.

If you support improving the lives of Palestinians, you should be against Hamas.

They've been blowing up, back and sideways since 1948. Fuck them. Ghenghis Khan knew how go deal with shit like this.

If you want to see things escalate you’ve got the right idea.

I don’t have any solutions but kill-them-all is not the position of any “good guys.”

All joke aside I don't want the complete eradication of any group because somewhere mixed up with them there is always some innocent people, but I'm for going after the leaders and their supporters as much as possible, and not continuing the mistake of scaring them off then wandering off for them to slink back. Just cut this cancer out once and for all.

Meanwhile the people squealing about how awful it is to eradicate a type of person are the same ones who think anyone who doesn't vote the way they should, should all be dead. I think that type should head out to the Middle East and join their terrorist brethren.

Provocation and escalation. While Israel carpet bombs, more nations may be drawn into the war. If a nation has plenty of munitions while Israel is running low, that could be enough. And many nations around there have domestic oil while Israel is dependent on imports.

If ‘we’ blatantly lose the moral high ground “we” are deserving of the retribution.

Fortunately Israeli leaders aren’t as callous as the ‘kill them all” crowd and seem to understand this and have been giving Gazans a chance and a warning to leave.

Israel orders hundreds of thousands of civilians in Gaza City to evacuate ahead of possible ground assault
