So anyway, I've posted a bunch of stories, but they haven't gone anywhere, not that I expected them to, but I thought I might get a rejection notice at least, but hey! This is the internet, speed-of-light, all that stuff, in theory, at least. Reality? "Reality" and "internet" are mutually exclusive terms. What if all those computers got networked somehow and created a bunch of "virtual people." Would anyone be able to tell?

I can tell you about my Math stuff, but it's pretty boring unless you are into it. I'm sort of in number theory. Numbers are WAY stranger than you might think. Maybe that's why your checkbook never balances, ya think? Anyway, I'm working on this NSA grant for this cryptography algorithm based on Godel's work, and I'm not supposed to talk about it. The rest of the time, I'm dealing with freshperson math students, and I guarantee you don't want to hear about THAT!

Hi Aaran and welcome. It's not that anyone here (I'm sure) thinks it's a "crime" for a couple of teen kids around the same age to explore their sexuality, what's being said is the site owners set up this rule because they want to! It's their site. Their rules.

Also, this is an American based site. Though there's a silly little thing called "age of consent" within in the states, the basic "youngest legal adult" age is 18 in America. Period.

And in my opinion, the owners may think "well, if we allow 16 to be our site's youngest age then someone else will want it dropped to 15. If we give in to that, someone new will want 14 or 15" and so on...

The whole thing could spiral downwards until someone tries to supmit a story about a 40 y/o man raping a 12 year old girl or whatever else. Give an inch and many people will try to take a mile.

I enjoy the imagination that goes into writing a story. I have to put myself into the scene in order to describe it, and that usually get parts of me besides my brain involved in the writing. Which always healthy for our sex life.

Oh wow, I don't think I've actually signed in here. lol

I'm Lovepotion69 (LP69) and I found Lit ages ago when searching for erotic stories. Then it took another fewyears before I came back and began reading stories. After a while I started to hang out in the forums; first the General, then the Amateur Photos and now mainly the Author's Forum.

I'm not as productive as some of the others from the AH, but I do enjoy writing. I'd like to give as many categories a try as possible. I'm afraid I'd be terrible at BDSM stories and non-consent though, but it'd be interesting to give it a try.

My writing style is fairly laid back I reckon. From never having written dialogue before, my stories are nowadays very dialogue driven. I do enjoy it and I try to get together a decent plot and make them realistic.

Linnet, BDSM would be a problem for me as I'm not into that stuff and don't know the ins-and-outs of the genre. I've read a few stories as research, but I doubt I'd be able to write a believable BDSM story. It's the whole mindset that I don't think I'd be able to get the hang of. Of course I'd gladly have email correspondence with anyone willing to educated me within the area.

I found that after reading several stories and doing a bit of online reading it is possible to write a believable BDSM story. I'd never written in that are myself as I've been more the loving romanits sort and a friend asked me to write his fantasy for him. I told him I'd give it a try and when both were done and I posted them online here I found I had people begging to become my pet. So it is possible to write in an area you have no personal experience although it just might open interests in your own life

Great idea for a thread - just thought I would intro myself - I just had my first story approved (Dreaming) - I have many others - many with themes already discussed. I love writing erotica- have been doing it for years for private consumption only so it was sorta exciting to put my writing out there - I need to work on story lines - I do have many others with a lot more plot to it - but submitted Dreaming on a whim as I had just finished it - I love writing about most things - I don't do incest but that' about my only proviso - I'm into description in a big way as I am a visual person - if someone has ideas, feel free to put them out - I do well writing about scenarios others come up with ... my SO often throws out ideas and I write the story for him ...

If you ever hope to make money writing sex stories, you have to avoid underage references because no paying publisher will touch you with a ten foot pole.

Also any site or publisher allowing underage stuff runs the risk of being shut down, for underage porn is illegal in the United States. If they would of found kiddie porn among Jackson's belongings, he would be sitting in prison right now.

Hi, I've been writting erotica for quite a few years,have posted on other forums and have had a few shorts published.
I love writting. But have a bad habit of starting 5-8 stories at a time and seeing which one flows..lol..then continue with that one.
Usually i go back and finish another later on,ideas are sometimes hard.
Hopefully i can get some more ideas here.

I try to research a little before I write. My ambition is to submit at least one story for every category; I hope to end up with a totally depraved imagination.

If you plan to write every category, you might check out the Survivor Contest, though joining mid year would be a challenge unless you have lots of time. The details are posted on the Authour Hangout forum.

Anyone know where's the best place to see what polls have been done? I'd be interested in knowing how much authors care about votes/ratings, but I figure it's probably been done before.
