1.I like to see myself in this way too. As far as I'm concerned, I Am nasty with people as long as they attack me. But once they lay off, I leave them alone too.

I remember clearly how Ish's thread about transgenders got sidetracked over the most stupid things -that some posters got outraged that you said that they have a disorder, instead of saying that they are 100% like you and me-.
Given the connotations and the reasons you used the term disorder then, I personally agreed with your view.

People have different intents and views when they use the term disorder in this particular situation.
-- The term was not long ago changed in the DSM 5 for psychosocial reasons, mainly in order to avoid the discrimination that they often face.
-- But from a biological pov, the term disorder is entirely appropriate (as long as people don't misuse the term in order to stigmatise them).
Because, let's not forget that sex change involves invadive procedures like surgery and lifelong hormonal treatment., which can have potentially severe side effects.
So if we go over the top and "over-normalize" it like they're trying to do now (teaching middle school and even primary school kids!! such gender politics) we might end up with people who would take it too lightly and end up with unwarranted procedures and lifelong consequences
