Being in her mid 60's I need to use lube on my wife and thee are indeed many out there which are very good, BUT they do not taste very good.

I am wondering if there is something in the kitchen that I have not thought of that would act as a safe lubricant, but also taste good so that I could go down on her after having used the lube on her.

thanks for any help

K-Y is my fave!

I LOVE K-Y for lube and, I'd swear it's deliberately fruit flavored! Regular K-Y jelly "personal lubricant" is cheap at Wal-Mart...try a tube, put a little on your finger and taste it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! 😉

Best lube we've found

I realize that you posted your question a few years ago, but perhaps the following will still be on interest.

My very significant other is 62, and after trying various lubes....from K-Y and Astroglide to silicone lubes, etc., from both pharmacies and sex shops, our preference, by far, is a home made (organic, if you wish to spend a bit extra) lube that lasts, stimulates, and has a pleasant (albeit mild) taste and fragrance. Here's our recipe:

1. One part cocoa butter;
2. Two to three parts (more in winter, less in summer) coconut oil; and
3 A few drops of essential oil of pepperment, based on personal preference (a little bit adds pleasant stimulation, but too much can distract, or even irritate delicate tissue).

Place the cocoa butter and coconut oil in a double-boiler, and heat until they melt. In the alternative, place them in a small pyrex storage container set it into a pan or pot, and add enough water to the pan or pot (but none in the storage container!) to almost, or just barely, cause the container to float a little, then heat the water until the contents of the container melt.

Remove from the heat, stir well with a fork or wisk, add some drops of peppermint oil, and place in the fridge.

When the mixture begins to solidify, again mix with fork or wisk. After is solidifies even more, either leave it as is, or else use a handheld processor to soften it. One way or the other, once it has solidified, it will keep for months without refrigeration.

Depending on the temperature of the room, it may get a bit hard, but once you scrape some into your hand, it softens quickly. If you insert a bit of it into your partner, it will melt VERY quickly.

I've seen warnings about using oil based lubes with latex condoms, but also have seen claims that coconut oil is an exception to the rule. Of course, if you are in a relationship where condoms are not a necessary precaution, that won't be an issue.

My wife has slight short term dementia altho on here I sure have not noticed her forgetting things.
Many have suggested virgin coconut oil. It looks and tastes a bit like lard. She takes a spoonful morning and night. Maybe next time she gets screwed I'll dip a finger in the coconut oil then her.

I agree with the coconut oil above, but don't know if I'd agree with the peppermint oil. It can be irritating. The coconut oil is also not water soluble so it could stain sheets and other bedding.

There are flavored lubes but some are silicone based and I'm not sure swallowing silicone is good.

Nature's Lube

Even at her age (75) my wife hates all lubes. A friend tried a KY on her and it burned.
Another used baby oil and it was messy.
She says "if playing with my boobs don't get me wet you're not doing it right."

What about glycerin? you can buy a gallon jug of it online for less that $40 & use candy flavoring in it. Pretty sure it's the base for all those lubes that heat up when you blow on them. I don't care for how sticky it is.

Gylcerin can cause yeast infections for some women, even in small amounts.

Your best bet is virgin coconut oil or olive oil if you want something that's truly safe and edible.

I've used both and prefer the coconut oil. Most often we use silicone lube though.

Let me repeat I have short term dementia. I take a spoon full of virgin coconut oil morning and evening. Eventually many will have this desease.
I'm lucky my husband works with me and keeps me active. My younger GF doesn't even know her husbands or her three kids names.

Sorry let's use it a s a lube too so we stay on topic.

All you need is to pick your favorite flavor-infused olive oil. There are many stores that cater to just infused oils now and the variety is huge!

Just go in one of these shops and they have little cups for you to sample each one. Find a few you like and bon appetit! or in this case maybe "Boner Appetite" hahaha

i have plenty of lube gushing between my legs that has a sweet taste to it.
all naturally created and organic, no added preservatives.

i wanted to say it's free but you still have to use work hard to get it.

You do understand there are people who need to use lube for various reasons, right? It has nothing to do with their partner "not doing it right."

You are really discussing reality on a porn board with a guy named "LIVINRFANTASIES"? :D

i will third (fourth? fifth?) the motion for coconut oil.
it should not cause any reactions. i am comically sensitive and can use this everywhere.
now, i can't say i have used it as lube...but it is tasty, so i cannot see why it would not work well.
hope it helps.

Aloe cadabra. Organic, totally edible and comes in flavored. Can buy it on amazon. Pins colada is good! As far as lubes go, of course. Enjoy!!!

Damn autocorrect. But you can figure it out. Comes in vanilla, lavender, P.C., and plain I think. Have fun (Why else buy an edible lube, if not to have lots of fun!!!)

Umm...spit?

Why are you people eating lube? Do all your eating before the lube is needed...or clean it off before you go down there.

Well picture yourself a situation.

You fuck somebody and you need lube for that. Then you want to go suck the cock or lick the pussy.

What do you do? Get the towel and wipe it off? With most lubes, they won't be wiped off that easily, leaving a sticky dry layer that still tastes like a lube and is unpleasant for the touch. The only way to get rid of it is wash it away.

"Do your eating before lube" limits the sexual act. What if they like to fuck but finish into her mouth? Or what if they like several switches between penetration and oral sex, so that the man can rest and recharge a bit? There are so many situations that would require oral sex to be performed after the penetration, i.e. lube.

And spit doesn't do a good lubricating job. Unless you are ill, it's not very slippery.

It's perfectly understandable why you'd want a tasteless or good-tasting lube for that. It's not toxic too, so that's fine. At least it's not supposed to be, or else I wouldn't use such lube at all for anything that concerns my body, and definitely wouldn't put it inside the pussy, which is not much better than eating it.:cattail:

Well...I was kinda sorta just joking...maybe

Sorry, I'm in a very strange mood tonight. Long, very busy day at work. And I didn't get home until 11pm.

So, on a serious note...I would advise buying the KY jelly and mixing it with flavored body gel (comes in a variety of flavors and can be purchased at most novelty shops) It's an easy, inexpensive fix.

(But I still don't want to eat lube ☺)

Did you have a good suggestion for this tasty lube problem? 😜

Also, my PYL just told me I'm a smartass when I'm horny. So that could be the problem...

no, I don't have a good suggestion, because I mainly only use lube while masturbating, and a few times during anal, but it's not like we were even planning Ass-to-mouth or anything, so the taste of the lube was not an issue )

I only ever eaten lube that came from the condom, and it was such a minuscule amount that although I tasted it - it wasn't bad.:cattail:

p.s. fix your horniness!
p.p.s. what is PYL?
