They, the Trump haters who are the totality of the committee are nowhere near establishing the legal requirement of "causation" between Donald Trump and the actions of the rioters, nowhere near that goal. The reason is that there is none. He's allowed to voice his opinion about the legitimacy of the election under the First Amendment. He's also allowed to raise money on that belief as well. There's nothing in the law that says he has to accept the outcome of the election. Hillary Clinton has made public statements that Trump was an illegitimate President. And for the record, YES, the outgoing president is obliged under the Constitution (remember that document?) to accept the results of an election if he did, in fact, lose it.
